It was hard to find a grill brush EXACTLY how I wanted it to be ... they were all either way too large (not everyone is basting an entire pork carcass, ya know), too small (I was using a kitchen basting brush before, with like a 4 inch handle), or had an awkwardly angled head, metal or cloth bristles (making them unsuitable for a dishwasher) or were plastic (because plastic and open flame are such a great combination, grill brush manufactuers :/ ). So I was skeptical when I found what appeared to be a fairly large but otherwise good design of grill brush on here (I'm terrible with math ... 12 inches seemed large).However, I got this brush, and as soon as I pulled it out of the box, I knew that THIS was the brush I had been wanting all along. For people like myself, who have a simple $100 propane grill (in other words, something not very large, and not very fancy), this brush is perfect. It's small enough to weild easily, but long enough to prevent burns from reaching over the grill while its in use. The body is brushed stainless steel, which gives it both a professional look but also an easy-to-clean exterior that will go with any other set of tools you have. And the head is made of silicon, making it heat resistant and safe to throw in the dishwasher when you're done.There's other brushes, some of which are much nicer ... but for any casual griller, the kind that likes to whip up some basic flame-cooked meats but isn't invested enough to get a $300+ grill, this brush is more than adequate for your purposes.

It is good length to reach into a grill. The "bristles" are not at all stiff. They are good and sloppy. Sloppy is good. It picks up an ok amount of goop and gets it to its destination. The brush is heavy. It's metal, not fakey, flimsy plastic. I bought it for BBQ but it also does a great job of gently brushing melted butter over delicate pastry without any tearing. It cleans up so well and holds no odors or flavors that a delicate almond pastry brushed with butter has no hint of BBQ sauce after washing the brush, Garlic and almonds don't mix.Yep good brush. You want one if you BBQ or bake.

The handles on these are solid and the brushes are good.

They work great and go right into the dishwasher!

Love this brush for grilling! Finally found one long enough so that I wouldn’t get burned while grilling. Dishwasher safe. It’s held up great! Had it about a year now. I like that it can be thoroughly cleaned, unlike some bristle brushes.

Love these basters. Both sizes come in very handy. Nice looking, feel good to hold and dishwasher safe, wash up beautifully. I would recommend them.

I was so sick and tired of the generic basting brushes from our local grocery stores. You know the kind; short wooden handle, bristles that fall off and get stuck to your food, nearly impossible to clean, and eventually the whole head just falls right off. I've gone through dozens of them over the years. I finally decided to have a look at the alternatives, and I came across this basting brush here on Amazon.Wow, what a world of difference. The long stainless steel handle is fantastic for basting stuff that's in the oven or the grill. It gives me a nice, long reach that doesn't cause my hands to get burned. The silicon bristles are silky soft and pick up a ton of whatever fluid I'm basting with. They clean up MUCH better than regular bristles, and there doesn't seem to be any chance of them pulling off the brush.I thought having a 12" handle would be cumbersome for simple things like brushing oil onto bread or oil onto pastries, but it turns out my fears were unfounded. It's a very simple matter of hold the handle closer to the head for better control, and the extra length doesn't get in the way at all.I can't believe I waited so long to get a better basting brush.

This is great for inside or outside the house. For grilling it works great for basting but I also use it to oil the grill grates after cleaning them off as well. The silicone bristles pop out of the handle so you can thoroughly clean by hand or pop it into the dishwasher. I can't think of a way it could possible work better or be improved upon other than the loop on the handle could be a bit larger to accommodate more grilling tool holders (can't hang it from my Weber but it's usually in a bowl of oil or sauce anyways).
