so easy to use
my mom hates computers but loved my kindle because of being able to find a word or phrase in an entire book by typing it in...she asked if it could be done with the bible. Well, I knew my mom would not need a kindle since she would not download a lot of books so I set out for something similar that just had the Bible...I found this! I got it for her Christmas gift and she loves it! She was able to figure it out on her own with just a little tutorial from me. She uses it in her Bible study class since it is the King James Version and that is all that is allowed in the class

Not worth $140
Was not impressed with the value for money. This device is probably only really worth $50 to $60 at the most. Felt it was a rip off.

Resilient
The Franklin Electronic Bible, as usual, is very well made. I have had an electronic bible made by someone else and it was cheap and flimsy. I travel with it all the time. Its easy to use, lighter than a book and has an above average search engine. Its great for quick reference when I'm teaching or in conversation with someone. I don't leave home without it.

Hlpful and Handy
This little e-Bible is a very handy tool and does a good job of locating scripture based on key words. It's light and fits neatly in most all of my pockets. The three-line display seems a bit cramped, though. I had an earlier model that allowed the user to select a 3-line or 5-line display. I have enjoyed this pocket Bible and consider it a good investment.

It is an essential for me
I love it. I keep one in my bible bag and one at the table where I have my morning devotion (along with my bible, Strong's Concordance, pens and paper). It helps me find scripture for which I need to enter more than one word in order to avoid looking through 50 or more possible verses to see which one is the one I am specifically looking for.It is also good to take along during Bible Class and Sabbath School when verses come to mind but you don't know their specific location.I think everyone should have at least one of these.

Hard Getting Used to a New One
I used my old Franklin computer Bible for 15 years, and really liked it. The only reason I had to change was the buttons were all worn off, so I had to type from memory; because of the rubber buttons, using a pen to write in the labels did not last.Maybe it is just because I was so accustomed to that one, that this one doesn't seem to measure up. Or maybe it is because I have not had a chance to read the manual. It feels like cheaper quality, almost like a toy. The plastic buttons feel springy and make a clicking noise, unlike the old one that had a rubber keypad, but at least I can see to type now.I'm sure it will just take some getting used to.

Very Disappointed.
My parents gave me one in 1986 that I liked a lot better. It broke on me eventually because it slowly leaked electricity and the batteries disolved and messed up the electronics at least three times since then. I need it to open and find words in the right sequence. It throws in all kinds of similar wording/order and makes it practically useless. Good luck if you you misspell a word. You will have to delete it and re-type the whole phrase back in each time. Similar problem advancing to the next placing. You can't know which book/verse it lands without lots of wasted time.
