Prime-Line T 8658 Window Pile Weatherstrip, Slide-in style for 3/16 in. channel, Gray, (18 foot)

So I ordered this product thinking it was going to have that "zipper" because that's what the description said. However, I did not actually want the zipper, but it was the only one I could find that was the size I needed. So when I get my order I realize it doesn't have the zipper, but is the right size and it's actually the one that I was looking for! It's exactly the same as the ones I have on my windows, except the color..i have Sunair windows and it fits perfect (i attached a picture of my original white one compared to this one). Great product and easy to install!

Fits my Viking aluminum windows, and easy to install.

Item came as described but the pile was 1/8th inch shorter than expected. I have other windows I can use it on. Found the right size at swisco.com.

The package says 1/4", but in fact the backing is 3/16" wide and the pile is attached over 1/8" of the width. Will not fit a 1/4" trench.

Product is fine, but the height is only about 2mm (=~0.08”) which is only half of what (0.156”) was shown in one of the product pictures.

Basement egress, builder grade window , and aluminum frame, in a house that was built in 1970. Good fit, material, and seal. By the way, this item does not have adhesive, just a slide through the rail/channel of the window. I am sure this is for a very specific application like mine. Happy that it worked and looks original.

I am very pleased with this purchase! To provide a little background, my home was built in 1979 and has the original sliding glass doors. Over the years, some of the pile weatherstripping has been damaged and some is rotting away. I figured that since this weatherstripping is in every single sliding glass door that I've ever seen, surely I will just go down to the big box store and buy some or at least something close that will work. Unfortunately, I walked out of the big box stores with the same disappointment as I've had about 100 times in my life because as it turns out, they don't sell this weatherstripping or anything close! This was a lifesaver and worked as intended. The instructions recommend using a spline roller to install it. In places that I could get a spline tool to reach, this worked great. I put one side of the weatherstripping in place and used to the spline tool to press the other side into place. However, in some hard to reach places, I had to use a large flathead screwdriver to press one side in. It took a while, but I finally got it all in.

Im sure i would have liked the product if the product matched the description provided. Description was "zig zag backing" , it came as straight. I went for the no return refund. What they did not offer was a replacement that matched the description. Apparently they dont stock that, yet they will keep that description, inaccurate as it is. It is Prime-Line T 8659 window/door weatherstripping. Apparently Prime Line revised the product from straight to zig zag backing for easier installation and kept same number.. So, who's selling this off as the 'new' version. ?

I have a 25-year-old screen door that needed new weatherstripping on the sliding window. This product fits perfectly and was easy to install. One package should be enough to replace all of the weatherstrippings on one door.

This weatherstrip fits my old aluminum windows from the 70s so now i am warm and don't hear the street noise. great product

Not what I was expecting to receive. Ended up buying a better frost king product with more pile for less at a local Cdn triangle symbol hardware store.

Fell out of the aluminum window T slot while the t8760 stayed in place. Pick a larger backing size next time.
