Intricate and detailed for a 1960s tool, but the poor instructions make for fair amount of headscratching and chance of errors. Obviously Airfix thinks the dated plans are part of the charm. Construction went pretty well but fitting the trailer wheel assembly was difficult, I couldn't get the front trailer wheels to sit on the floor when hitched, ramps did not extend fully down. Wear marks were created by dabbing some polycement lightly with a fragment of sponge, then carefully dragging a finger to reveal the black primer. The primer also affords some contrast elsewhere on the model.Thoroughly absorbing build of this unusual and evocative subject, great fun.

Always a pleasure to build an Airfix kit. This one went together well, crisply moulded parts making for a good fit

One of Airfix's numerous military kits from its 60's glory days the reconnaissance set is a well put together if tiny example of golden age plastic modelling.Although only a few cm long the kubelwagen is quite detailed for 1/76, part fit is excellent and two figures fit perfectly in the front seat.The armoured car is also quite nice (although the lack of interior detail is easy to see through the top opening) and all parts fit well without any warping.Finally three tiny footsoldiers can be painted up for use in diaroma's or wargames and have as much detail as you'd expect at this scale.In conclusion an excellent if old kit, good for a beginner or an experienced modeller looking for a diverting few hours.

One of Airfixs' classic kits, and one I've been after for a few years.Being a Vintage Classic, the moulds are a bit long in the tooth, but there's little flash and no short shot parts as far as I can see.Recommended.

I'm not a big Airfix model fan, but for a vintage model, it goes to show how the pieces do not fit properly and the instructions are poor. I found it hard to see where certain parts went. If you like poor vintage Airfix models, this is for you.

oh yes, this is old model and details are not great, little bit difficult to fit driver into car, but this is great set for diorama.I liked it.

Ok, so for an Airfix model I was totally disappointed with this, it was not easy to put together the parts so to speak were very very poorly made. Very difficult trying to decipher the numbers also didn’t help. Massed production at its finest.

I collect U.S. WWII armor mostly in 1/72 scale. Some vehicles can only be found in 1/76 scale or large. (1/48 to 1/32) scales. The M3 APC will make a perfect companion for my Matchbox M16 MMGMC. They use the same White halftrack vehicle for two very different purposes.

Eine sehr schöne Erinnerung an Jugendzeiten, als der Modellbau für mich begann.Sehr überrascht bin ich nach all den Jahren, wie genau die Teile passen, ein schöner und angenehmer Bausatz.Die drei beigefügten Soldaten zu Fuß sind bedauerlicherweise nicht maßstabsgerecht, dafür aber die Insassen des Kübelwagens umso mehr.Ich gebe eine eindeutige Kaufempfehlung.
