What memories these songs bring back to mind! I remember hearing them on the radio and playing the cherished LP's on my record player. How wonderful to have them in CD format so I can listen to them anytime, anywhere. I especially like disk 2 - with some of the songs from the album "The Fabulous Fifties." It would have been nice to have included the songs from both volumes of that series.One problem was the difficulty I had removing the disks the first time from their plastic cases. The center was so tight, I thought I was going to crack the disk. It took a lot of time and patience to remove them. I've since found it easier to store each separately in other CD cases I have on hand.Roger Williams was a versatile, talented and classic artist. I had the opportunity to hear him live in concert and it was a treat. So glad to be able to have these renditions of some of his greatest hits....great memories and music. I recommend this collection of his works.

I brought the cd to relax by when I go to sleep at night.

I was looking for easy listening music and a musician that I had some knowledge of. This two disc remastered album of movie themes from the 50's and 60's is wonderful. I saw all these movies as a child and to hear the music rendered by a great pianist like Roger Williams is so soothing to the spirit. I play this on my new Bose Wave and the sound is like Roger is playing a piano in the same room.

To me, Roger Williams is the master of beautiful piano music, be it with recognizable hits or unfamiliar songs or themesthat are new to you. This album, which is 4 previous released ones, contains beautiful arrangements of all such types of music. Of course it includes his hit recording of "Autumn Leaves", which will live forever, but also marvelous versions of"GIGI", "The Theme From EXODUS", "Stranger in Paradise" and many more. I especially found his arrangements of songs such as "Ebb Tide", "Young at Heart" and "True Love" to be special because you don't usually hear them as instrumentals and they are a lovely experience. Overall this is a beautiful album done by a master that you can listen to every day.

To hear such a variety of wonderful music played by one of the best pianists!

I really can't understand why the release of these great lps, which were done in magnificentstereo, are issued partly in monaural and partly in stereo. So buyer beware, if you're lookingfor all of these songs in stereo, you'll be disappointed as I. The music and Roger Williams doesindeed stand the test of time, but with the mono recordings, I can only give this 4stars..

This is a 2-disc set with 24 & 27 tracks respectively of the usual lush and great orchestrations with Roger's wizardry at the piano. This is my kind of music, with only Peter Nero in the same league. To get the best sound, I needed to cycle thru the DSP music-settings available in this 7.1 surround-receiver, as the (clean) recordings aren't quite up to the best of today's standards. This set was a great find for me.

What can I say? This is Roger Williams, among the world's greatest pianists, perhaps the best. These songs are easy listening and for me, a trip down memory lane. I enjoy putting this CD on and going about my work in the house while the atmosphere fills with delightful music. The one comment I would make is that I failed to notice that these recordings were made before he decided to introduce more "passion" (his word) into his piano playing. I have a later CD of his and there definitely is a difference in the way he played, and I prefer the more expressive renditions. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys great piano playing with a wonderful orchestral accompaniment.
