Trident Splash Gum, Strawberry Lime, 9-Piece Packs (Pack of 20)

For unknown reasons, I have not been able to find Trident Strawberry Lime Splash in my usual stores for over a year now. I have been buying it on Amazon and there was no problem until the most recent purchase. I knew something was up when the package took almost a month to arrive and had apparently been sent from Thailand! When I opened it, the little packets looked fine at first, but on closer inspection had foreign (Thai?) writing on them. Then the taste test: horrible sort-of-Lime taste without even the slightest hint of the strawberry. I called Amazone customer service and they said I could not return the gum and that my only recourse is to write a review. In the meantime, I found that my local hospital gift shop sells the old gum and it still tastes great. I will never order this gum from Amazon again.

I ordered a 20 pack of gum and only received a 10 pack!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!

This is my favorite flavor of gum. However, I ordered from this company because they showed the original white casing in the gun rather than the red. I didn't need all the extra coloring, just the basic. What I got was the red colored casing and not in a box like I expected. The packs were all taped together in stacks. I've bought the big packs before from Costco, so I thought I was getting the same thing(a lot more expensive),but I wanted it. Wasn't very pleased with the whole concept which is why I gave the four stars :(

This is not the real Splash Strawberry gum. It's mushy- has no coating on it, which the real one does and there is no "splash" inside. The flavor is off. I should have read the return policy before I bought, but do not buy this gum from this seller.

I like this gum, bought it many times from this seller, I think,never had a problem, I have 2 orders, all 4 boxes have this problem.Thank you,Stan

Anyone remember Chewels?Well let's take it to the 21st century,this product is awesome!The flavor is long lasting,and the center juice bursts with flavor!I can't understand why they don't sell this anywhere?I remember they were at checkout stands before,but I've tried looking and can't find any.Gum these days burn like mouthwash.Get this product before it's gone... forever!I noticed prices on these gone waaay up!

The gum was stale to the point of being barely tolerable. Subsequent research revealed that Trident doesn't make it any more, and hasn't for a couple of years. So that explains the staleness problem. Which means I have to try and find a new Favorite Gum, after about a decade of being spoiled by this flavor, and also the Apple Raspberry, which you can't even buy in the stale condition any longer. Totally depressing.
