This was well made and did the job. Unfortunately a terminal leak on the chimney meant it was no longer needed!

It's a chimney cowl
We bought this on the advice of our chimney sweep as he was going to fit it for us (the existing cowl was letting in birds who not only were blocking the chimney with nest material but also kept falling down it). Sadly, it turned out he'd given us the wrong advice - we needed one for a lined chimney, so it was never fitted. The sweep confirmed it was the one he'd suggested we buy and said it would have done the job perfectly. He kept it, and swapped it for one he had in stock.

Have not had this installed as yet but was told by the tradesmen that it is a good one and will work really well as its an anti draft which is what i wanted. like the red colour of it too. good price as others were up to and over £100. Very well packaged in good order.
