Negative Reviews Are Correct, But It's Actually A Good Product Because...
My hair type is thick, straight, and can be somewhat coarse. I style my hair with a quiff and an undercut. This works great if you want something that will last in place literally all day/night, can have your hair get rained on, but not look like a total douche who has shiny, gelled hair because this has a matte finish.I bought this after using the TIGI Bed Head matte wax manipulator. It's actually a great deal $14.99 for 3 given the ingredient list. The TIGI bed head is made mostly of synthetic wax and after a few hours it evaporates because it's water based and you have to touch it up and carry a comb around with you. However, this wax clay's first three main ingredients are "water, natural beeswax, lanolin oil". The wax adds some more 'weight' to your hair so it doesn't look frizzy, especially after a windy day.Given these ingredients, it's a great deal as natural beeswax in hair products is expensive. On the other hand, because it's REAL beeswax and has lanolin oil, you do have to use handsoap to wash it off your hands, which takes 'that much more effort' in the morning. To wash it out of my hair under the sink, I just put a bit of shampoo to get it out completely. Also, because it's a much higher grade product, using less actually works much better and goes a long way- which means 3 container will probably last you all year.As to the other reviews that mentioned dandruff, clumping, etc. You have to use about a dime size, rub it in between your palms then apply- it literally reactivates the oil/wax compound and makes it more maneuverable through your hair. I apply this to dry hair, but it can be damp as well.

When they say "clay", they mean it.
This stuff is the consistency of hardpacked clay, and it almost takes a puddy knife just to get it out of the container. It comes out very hard and clumpy. But once you get it out and rub it around between your hands with some water, it loosens up so you can use it on wet hair. DO NOT use it on dry hair, it will make your hair gross. But if you do all this, it's a pretty decent product and gets the job done. But I probably won't buy it again personally.

This product is so hard it doesn't apply to hair well. I wish I would have returned it before the 30 days lapsed.

great
Seems great. It doesn't quite hold my hair all day but it works well. its extremely light and with the correct amount in my hair, I hardly notice an additional weight. It smells great and is not greasy at all. It is more of a wax than anything else but it doesn't make my hair very shiny. its a great product at a fantastic price. I think I will continue using this in addition to my other products for some time.

This stuff is horrible... you can't wash it out, the hold is awful and they come labeled as something different.

Great Stuff!
It appears many on here were given this to try for free in return for a review. Let me tell you - I bought this stuff myself and I still feel inclined to leave a review!I'm pretty picky (yet cost-sensitive) when it comes to hair styling products. For the past couple of years I've used Axe Cream Wax, but it appears they finally discontinued it. I've tried American Crew Fiber (as many have compared this to) and thought it was decent, but it just seemed to lose its hold throughout the day. Even with shorter hair. This stuff is perfect. Has a dry, no-shine hold ALL day - even after workouts, lying down, walking in rain, etc. Heck, it even has some hold to it the next morning when I'm washing my hair - but don't worry it washes out.Yes, it's a gritty clay/fiber/wax that's a little tough to work into your hands, but it's much better than some of the stickier, gel/cream based products I've used. Also, people have complained about the smell but I barely notice it anymore. And in my opinion, it's pretty neutral and doesn't bother me to begin with.Get it!

Strong hold
Product was too stiff for my hair style. But it might work for some. Has a great scent though. Can't comment on the difficulty of rinsing out since I couldn't even style my hair once due to the stiffness of the product.
