Net bags that don't damage your produce
Durable, washable, breathable, lightweight bags that take almost no room in your bag when empty, and hold lots of produce without snagging. I was given some of these from an environmental group at the Farmers' Market and got years of use from them. But I left one behind at a market and another one blew away so I was short on bags, and was very pleased to find that this SKU has the exact same bags

Bag it up!
Perfect for the farmers market. The bags have the tare listed on the side so it's easy for weighted produce. They hold up nicely even after washing!

Useful, Sturdy Mesh Bags
Extremely useful and sturdy. We use these bags for garden produce, seed gathering, garlic storage and as wash bags to put delicates in the washing machine. They're great.

THE BEST!
These are the best veggie bags ever! They are lightweight and see through. I've even gotten compliments from grocery store employees. You can also wash them with your regular laundry. They are so thin, you can air dry them. A few have found their way into the dryer and they always come out fine. Great product! Highlight recommend!

Hopefully a good alternative to one-use plastic bags, with minor modification.
I bought these so that I could reduce or eliminate use of plastic, one-use produce bags at the grocery store. As others have said, they are lightweight and easy to see through for cashiers. It appeared that all the seams were intact, so the ones I received didn't have obviously loose seams as some other reviewers have noted. Some reviewers also noted that the drawstrings do not stay closed. To prevent that, I got a package of 10 spring cord closures (many kinds and colors are available on Amazon). They were easy to install on the drawstring, although you have to undo the existing knot and re-tie it. Took me about 10 minutes to put a spring lock on all 9 bags, and those seem to ensure a secure closure. The bags themselves are very lightweight, like a thin organza or tulle material. Therefore, I would be hesitant to put more than a few heavier fruits or vegetables (like potatoes) in each bag. It's hard to tell if they'll hold up over time until I start using them regularly. For these reasons, I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Time will tell how much they'll carry and how well they'll hold up.

easy to carry, easy to clean
These lightweight mesh bags are a great alternative to single use plastics. The produce can breath (great for onion/shallots/sweet potato) Even if something dies in it (curse you vegetable drawer), the bag is easy to clean and sanitize so can continue to use it. Large enough to completely enclose all but the longest veggies. Holds green onions and asparagas with room to spare, but leeks poke out, but that's ok with me. I kept the packaging they come in to hold these together when they are not in use.To clean: I hand wash or use a garment bag so I can toss into the laundry. No shrinkage or issues with either cleaning method

Grocery store cashier approved! Sheer and negligible tare weight!
As a grocery store cashier I have seen just about every brand and style of reusable produce bags come through my line. These Earthwise bags are by far my favorite to both see come through my line and to use myself! Many of the reusable bags claim to be sheer, THEY ARE NOT! With these bags I've never once had to remove an item from the bag to read the sticker code or scan the item. In fact, the scanner often catches the bar codes just setting the bag on the scale. This makes it faster and easier at checkout. Also, most major grocery chains have the tare weights automatically uploaded based on the weights of the packaging provided in the store, the cashiers are generally not capable of inputting specific tare weights so if you have a heavier bag, you pay the extra X amount in weight for the bag as well as the product because the cashier CAN NOT CHANGE TARE WEIGHTS. Out of curiosity I placed one of these empty bags on the scale at work and it read at .01 lbs; which is the exact tare weight automatically removed for the plastic produce bags in-store. NO EXTRA WEIGHT ADDED! I've loaded them up pretty full with about 5 lbs of baker's potatoes, or 10-12 large oranges or apples and they fit just fine. They work on larger bulk foods items such as dry beans and I keep a few separate specifically for bulk dog biscuits and pigs ears. They wash well in the washer (in a lingerie bag), though I've never thrown them in the dryer. I prefer to hand wash just because it's almost ridiculous to wash such a tiny load in my big ol' washer. The only thing I would like to see are a toggle lock on the draw string added on. I'd pay the extra tare weight for that as long as the bags themselves didn't change. Though the bags are made of polyester and in China, I've already reused them enough times to keep my conscious at ease. I can accept the fact that plastic is inescapable and everywhere, including my car's interior, but I've "reused" my car for 11 years and 150K miles so I'm okay with that too. While we can't eliminate plastic (that computer screen you're reading is housed in plastic) we CAN lessen the impact, even if it just means reusing the same old plastic for as long as we can.
