Some Guys talking here about shortening the "legs", adjusting the hooks....no need it is great as is! I take it with me golfing on the California golf course ponds in late evening and it destroys the Bass! I have a 5 foot Ugly Stick, Light Shimano 1000 reel. 10lb spider wire, and my 1.75 frogs and catch Bass as long as there is light! 5' Rod short enough to not draw attention standing next to my golf bag in the golf cart! :>) Caught 10 Bass ranging from 3-5 pounds in less than 30 minutes just before dark on a 100 degree day last week! Most were taking it seconds after the cast! One or two short twitches and the others were hooked I had a 95% strike/catch rate! Never damaged the lure....they cannot resist this totally weedless 1.75 drawn across the weeds!

This is a great lure for fishing weeds and especially lily pads. The beauty behind this lure is that you throw it into spots you wouldn't dream of throwing other lures for fear of snagging. I throw this into lily pads and slowing reel it across the lily pads stopping for a few seconds when the frog slides into the water gaps between pads. It's a rush when they break the water and smack the lure! Be sure to give them a few seconds before setting the hook, it's easy to jump the gun and pull this out of their mouth by being over anxious. Also, make sure you have a decent weight test on you pole, you will need to fight the fish while dragging it through the lily pads, no 4 or 6lb test, go high so it doesn't snap.

This thing is absolutely amazing...caught 15 large mouth bass the first day I used it and caught the biggest bass I've ever caught in my life with this frog...I was catching 5 to 8 pounders all day...I've tried every frog imaginable and this one surely is the best...I just ordered 5 more...I was using it in alot of cover and lily pads...just amazing!!

Nice lure. I make changes to my equipment so I don't have a lot of missed fish. I take a pair of Vice Grips and bend the hooks out AND up. Makes a huge difference in landing bass. I also cut about 1/3 of the rubber legs off show the bass don't "short hit" the frog and I miss setting the hook.Try it.
