Belongs on your shelf
Love this book! The articles written cover in depth topics you just won't find in the text-book-style GD books. The collection of authors from various GD groups makes this feel like a truly collaborative effort. This is an exciting addition to the shelf of any Frater or Soror or person otherwise already familiar with the standard GD material.

Just another rehash.
I received this book yesterday, and have read the first article, an analysis of the Lesser Pentagram ritual by Sam Scarborough. The article extends over 36 pages, plus a reading list of another two and a half pages. You would think that this guarantees an in-depth analysis of the ritual. But no, Mr. Scarborough's writing is a verbose rehash of already published material, with little to no new insights. But with several misconceptions and errors that will have the more experienceed reader frowning....His vita states that Scarborough is an Adept of the modern Ordo Stella Matutina, and has 25 years of experience in Golden Dawn magic. Well, I can only hope that he wrote this article at the beginning of his magical career. If this is a recent worjk of his, than the modern Stella Matutina is in worse shape than the original Golden Dawn at the time when Israel Regardie published the Order's teachings. It once again shows that the publishers main motive for publishing another book is making cash from the already published (but newly annotated or edited) mateiral. Whatever you read in this book, try and verify it by using other sources (or your personal experience) too.
