Fantastic product!
I live in an arid region, and my career involves frequent handwashing with industrial strength soap, as well as constant use of gloves. This combination has left me with dry, cracked fingers and knuckles. I have been looking for the holy grail of moisturizers and I have finally found it in this product. My hands looked much better within days of consistent overnight use. I simply apply it right before bed and let it work its magic overnight. It’s also a fantastic remedy for dry, cracked lips. A little bit goes a very long way, making this balm a great bargain. Forewarning: It’s consistency is more like solidified oil than lotion, so you have to warm it with your fingers a bit before you apply it.

Badger Balm is Da Bomb (for PMC)
Ok, ok...I'll admit it. I'm a convert. Looking back I am able to see how silly I was - but at the time, purchasing Badger Balm just seemed...unnecessary. Like a luxury. Why pay for Badger Balm when I can use olive oil to work with metal clay (PMC) and use lotion to condition my skin the rest of the time? I would rather spend those bucks on more PMC!Or so I thought until I took the plunge and bought some Badger Balm. In my defense, olive oil is cheap. And readily available. And easy to use. And natural, so it's safe for kids and those with allergies. And a little goes a long way. But...BUT...those things said, there just isn't any comparison with Badger Balm. Talk about a little going a long way? Hello! Badger Balm has that covered. The smell? A light, fresh scent - nothing overpowering or stinky. It isn't greasy. Don't get me wrong - it does kind of "coat" your hands, but it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy - or like you're helpless. You can still open jars with Badger Balm on...not so easy with regular lotion, impossible with olive oil slathered all over your digits!Badger Balm easily coats your PMC tools and work surface - without leaving everything "slickery", if ya know what I mean. It also seems to be a good skin conditioner in general - I finally remembered to put some on my feet when I went to bed - and it helped to soften the skin. I can see how using it on a regular basis could easily eliminate dry, cracked heels. (Not that mine were that bad, mind you.) This is the perfect moisturizer to throw in your purse. So here's the low down: I would buy this again. Especially since it seems the 2 oz pot I bought will last a very long time. I like this much better than olive oil for use with PMC. I'm not sure how it stacks up against regular lotion - since I live in a very dry climate, I'm a lotionaholic. Badger Balm takes up less space, won't spill if you're traveling, and like I previously said, doesn't leave your hands all lotiony. Or perfumey. (I'm using a lot of my own words...sorry!) However, I have a hard time remembering to use it instead of lotion. The price seems reasonable - especially since it lasts for so long. I think it's a good thing to keep around - which is definitely true for those needing a good release agent for PMC...however, I don't see it replacing my lotion anytime soon. To be totally honest, I'm not sure I see a huge difference between Badger Balm and Bag Balm - except the Badger Balm seems to be lighter. I would love it if someone would please explain why Badger Balm is better than Bag Balm (for use with PMC) - and how it's different. (I don't believe either is water soluble.) Anyway, you now have the skinny on Badger Balm and how it relates to olive oil, PMC and lotion...and even a bonus question about Badger Balm vs Bag Balm. Try it - I think you'll like it.

Smells Awesome and Works Incredibly Well
I’m highly impressed by this badger balm. I have tried so many healing salves and lotions in order to heal my dry and cracked hands from working but this has worked by far the best. I am a phlebotomist and I am constantly taking nitrile or latex gloves on and off as well as washing my hands or using hand sanitizer. My hands are so dry all the time and they hurt. Wearing lotion or those other salves is hard because they make putting gloves on extremely difficult. This badger balm smells amazing and a little goes a long way. My hands are hydrated and protected, and I’m able to easily put gloves on without having issues. I will keep using this product religiously!

Great for Blue Collar Workers
my husband works at a fedex facility and always comes home with dry and cracked hands. throwing this in his work bag has been a GAME CHANGER. he keeps his callouses while still having moisturized hands and the smell is also really lovely!

Good stuff but bad smell
Overall good moisturizer. I like that it has a small list of natural organic ingredients. But I am not a fan of the smell. It smells like Vick's or Bengay ointment. Once I use this one off, I'll try the unscented version.

Solid stuff
This is a very solid product. I use it for my calluses after the gym and is a better alternative than oKeefes and RipFix. Would recommend!

This stuff works
This is a great balm for rough hands. I'm a maintenance mechanic, so my hands get filthy every day and washed dozens of times with harsh industrial soaps. Badger balm actually gave me instant relief from the cracking, and I could feel and see a difference in my hands the next morning. I'm going to make this product a regular purchase. It's good stuff.

Seems to work good for winter dry hands.
Seems to work good. I needed then during winter. My hands got dry a lot. Not so much anymore now that it's warmer. I used it maybe only 5 times.
