SPECIFICATION -- Output Power: <5 mW -- Laser Class: IIIA -- Laser Wavelength: 632 to 650 nm -- Battery Type: AG3/LR41 -- Range for Sighting: 15 to 100 yds -- Dot Size: 2 in @100yd -- Operation: on/off end cap -- Operating Temp: F/C 14 to 122 / -10 to 50 F/C CAUTION -- Be sure that your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction before attempting to insert the boresighter. -- Do not dry-fire your firearm while the boresighter is inserted. It may cause damage to the bore sight. BATTERY INSTALLATION 1.Twist the end cap of the boresighter counter clockwise to open the battery housing. And insert the 3 AG3/LR41 batteries into the battery negative end first. 2.Be certain that the batteries are all facing in the proper direction to ensure proper function of your boresighter. 3.As the bore sight doesn’t have the on/off switch, please remove the batteries after using. HOW TO ZERO YOUR FIREARM? 1.Set your firearm in a gun vise or other stable platform so that it does not move. 2.Insert your boresighter fully into the empty chamber. And sight in your firearm at any desired distance that the laser is visible (25 yards is recommended). 3.Align your firearm so that the laser is centered on the bull’s eyes. 4.Adjust your scope (according to the manufacturers specifications) so that the reticle of the scope matches with the laser and bull’s-dyd alignment. 5.Remember to remove the batteries of your bore sight to preserve the battery life, and store in a cool, dry place.

Read the directions before complaining and only use two batteries...
Amazing that some reviewers bother to tap out a negative review without reading. The 9mm fits, the instructions are clear, AVOID CLOSING THE ACTION.Other reviewers indicated that the laser doesn’t work or won’t close with batteries. The instructions are incorrect, it only uses 2 of the supplied batteries. Not 3.And, my cartridge had an old battery still stuck in the end cap likely from quality testing. I used a magnet to pull the old one out, put TWO of the new ones in and it works great.I wish it had an On/Off switch but for $10 I can live without it...

This does not fit in your chamber correctly and leaves the barrel pushed up impossible to use
This does not fit in your chamber correctly and pushes the barrel up making it impossible to use. Tried this on 3 different 9's and it's the same on all of them. I inserted the 2 batteries of the 6 that came with it. The laser was bright enough but because the action does not shut because of the length of the device it will point your laser upwards and if you site it in like that you will be way off. Very poorly designed or manufactured take your pick but I will be returning this one.

worked great
If I had one complaint that would be the batteries die quickly. The sighter fit in my S&P 2.0 compact 3.6 9mm barrel fine. You will need to apply a little pressure to close the slide that last quarter inch but it does close and it fits in the barrel all the way. I was able to use this to determine my sights were aligned and I found that my training laser from taryag was off to the left and returned it. I sighted in my rail laser using this sighter and I was able to verify my sight picture was on target and my aim was true. That said the batteries died only after I did all that and I actually left it on for about 15 mins with remembering it. The laser is bright and easy to see at any distance I tried, I did not try anything over 25yards but I am sure it would be fine although my eyes can't see something that small any farther without a scope. Deciding to buy this sighter was a lengthy process, I checked many others and everyone one had some negative reviews and almost everyone said the slide wouldn't close. I decided to try a cheaper one first to check the slide. I am glad I did because I didn't nee anything else and I will definitely use it in the future. I don't see why I would need to pay more when this works. The sighter fit easily in the barrel and required no force what so ever. I believe the slide may have required a little to shut because they advise you to slowly close it and the extractor probably just touches the rim, a slight push and it shuts. Keep in mind this is not a laser trainer and it is not meant to dry fire. You can adjust everything you need without squeezing the trigger. I have used my gun at the range since and everything is on. I will buy it again if needed and I do recommend it. Don't spend more when you have an inexpensive option right here that is going to work. Don't be afraid to give the slide a little push to close completely it doesn't hurt the cartridge. This is especially great if you have a new gun or you are a new shooter, you can use this to find out how to aim your gun to get the hits you are looking for. Keep in mind this doesn't allow you to fire, so you won't know you have other issues, like slap trigger, or anticipation issues but it does make sure you know how to aim and whether your gun is sighted for 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock. Which is especially helpful when trying to get more accurate at the range.

Everything about this product is TERRIBLE.
This is a waste of money. The laser is very dim, definitely not capable of going 25 yards, it will get you barely 10 feet. The instructions are for a completely different product saying to use 3 batteries when you only need 2. This laser came looking very worn out and not new in the slightest. I don't know what happened with this, but stay far away from this trash.

Not for use in Ruger LC9S or Springfield XDS-9
Slide will not close all the way on these 2 handguns with it in the chamber. With the slide not closing all the way, barrels are facing up and not dead center. On plus side, laser is bright and easy to use.

Not accurate
Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. It is not accurate. I locked my pistol in a gun vice, inserted the bore sight, and then marked a dot on white paper 1 yard away. Then, as I slowly rotated the device in the barrel, the point moved away from the dot, making a bit over a 1/4 inch circle before returning to the original point. So 1/4 inch off at 1 yard means it will be over 6 inches off at 20 yards. If it isn't true, it is basically a useless device. Returning for refund.

Know What You're Getting
Like the other budget-priced bore sight lasers, this one has no on or off setting. It takes two watch batteries to run, and ships with a total of six. However, all the batteries included were bulged and bad. I had to buy new batteries from a pharmacy, effectively doubling the price. No instructions or markings, even for correct battery insertion.Be aware that you'll only want to use this indoors or at dawn/dusk because the laser is relatively weak. Will get you on paper, but you absolutely want to refine at the range. Best used when initially mounting a pistol red dot or when swapping batteries (if your optic has to be removed to do so).Keep this one in a little durable ziplock (not the one that comes with it) in your cleaning kit or range bag for intermittent use but don't expect miracles. Definitely wouldn't use this commercially but will be 'OK'

The other bad reviews are right: This IS inaccurate trash!
Absolutely terrible alignment. It's off by so much I can't even tell if my irons were on target at about 20 feet. Aiming at my living room wall and rotating it in the chamber had an enormous discrepancy! I foolishly tried pre-zeroing my new scope before checking how bad this was, so I'm libel to spend MUCH more time and ammo correcting for this laser than if I just went to the range alone.I also thought the "batteries dying in seconds" in other reviews were hyperbolic, but sure enough, within a scant minute the laser had dimmed to the point I couldn't see it without turning off my lights completely. So it's even useless as a cat toy!Plus it had some strange tarnish on it brand new. Normally I don't complain about that but at this point it's icing.Don't waste money or time on this!
