Herbal Armor DEET-Free Pump Spray 4oz. Insect Repellent, Plant-Based and All-Natural Bug Repellent, Safe for Family and Pets, Mosquito and Bug Protection

I recently switched from going for a run early in the morning to going for a walk. It seems that age (I'm almost 61) has finally caught up with me along with some, er, biomechanical challenges that were causing more frequent injuries. Anyway, mosquitos have always liked me, but now I am moving slower and offering them more chances to get me. I experimented at first with the travel size version, but then I got the bigger 4 oz. bottle once I learned it seemed to do the trick - bugs including deer flies would buzz me during the hottest months of the summer, but they wouldn't find any bare skin to suck my blood. I find that it is easier to spray some 2 or 3 times into my hand and then rub it into my arms & legs so I don't have to contort myself, and also the sprayer is most effective when the bottle is held upright. I'm less concerned about making sure I rub my hands together for areas that aren't as sensitive as my neck or face. I live in a swampy area which tends to be quite humid - I have spotted some paths that look like they go down around some of the swamps which I will save for the fall so it is not like being in the Everglades. I doubt this product will be effective against snakes, for instance.

This product was recommended by a guide in Rocky Mountain National Park during a hike/class. I ordered two bottles and brought one out to Missouri, Lake of the Ozarks. We swam, and fished after hiking through natural landscape and tall grasses. The mosquitoes swarmed but didn't bite. A tick was on my husband's arm, but didn't bite. I accidentally sprayed my eye while getting my arm, but all-natural ingredients (lemongrass , peppermint, citronella) means it didn't irritate my eye after it was rinsed!This product is truly all-natural ingredients that work to repel bugs...I highly recommend it!

My wife has used this product for years and loves it. However, when it was shipped with the bottle inside a ziplock bag, the cap wasn't tight and maybe a third of it was in the bag instead of the bottle. Needless to say it was a mess trying to get it from the bag back into the bottle. It wasn't a deal killer, just a disappointment. Still love the product. Thank's

The only product I have tried so far that works

I live in NC and like to walk in the woods behind our house. Particularly in the afternoon when it's warm, we have these very small and annoying black flies. They don't bite, but they sure love my ears. I've tried DEET based repellants and natural ones (Eucalyptus/Lemongrass) and neither worked; the flies just ignored it. Whatever this stuff is, it works. The flies try but can't get close to this stuff. In fact, one guy kept trying and trying and just couldn't get passed the repellant. Smells okay (pretty good actually) and washes off easily with water. Would definitely recommend.

It has less odor than the original OFF SPRAY, It's organic, and it does work excellent. Perfect price for 3 quantity. Trader Joe's carrys it, but is always out of stock.

Works good to keep mosquitos from biting when properly applied to clothing or skin.

While this product smells good and works great to repel insects, the sprayer pump leaked with each pump and it overflowed from the neck of the spray nozzle wasting product. Would defiantly buy this again in the hopes that it was just a faulty pump.
