a high quality professional product!
I ordered this to replace a really awful, cheap, chrome/plastic/super crappy spout that came with a large glass beverage dispenser I got at a cheapo bargain store. I can't tolerate plastic touching my food or beverages, so I knew I would be replacing the spout. I am SO HAPPY that this product is available-its exactly what I wanted-actually better. I am so impressed with the quality of the casting, the polishing, the absence of any blemishes or burrs on the threads, the precision on the contoured stainless washers and silicon seals-truly a well crafted piece. Now that I have it installed-I am shocked they aren't charging upwards of 20, 25 bucks for this. Its terribly undervalued at $13. I would have paid much more. The spout has a nice movement to the handle-like another reviewer said-its smooth operating-won't flip out of your hand or cause liquid to splash like other push down/pull up handled spouts. Its very heavy-substantial-something that could withstand a lot of use and abuse without any ill effect. This is the quality that I would expect from a professional plumbing fixture (from a name brand company-not the cheap home store fixtures-its actually better than many things I've installed in my plumbing-because like it or not-its all got plastic/rubber parts that deteriorate) or an antique spout-something that was well made to last indefinitely and shows almost no change in appearance due to the finishing/design over time. I expect to have this spout forever! I can reuse it on any similar sized opening in a gravity feed jar.As a side note-I am a ceramicist and I will be making beverage dispensers soon because of this product. I never considered it before because I didn't think there were any quality (non plastic or plastic component containing) spouts out there. I was worried about leaks-since I have never encountered a spigot that doesn't leak. Now I can order some of these and make all manner of ceramic beverage vessels-knowing I won't be wasting my time. The only drawback I can think of is that because its metal-it won't work for people making Kombucha or water Kefir or similar fermented drinks.other than that-I am seriously advocating this spout. If you're like me and would rather pay once for something with great longevity and good design, than buy inferior future trash-you won't hesitate to purchase this-or several.

Lasted for Six Years!
Lasted for six years of daily usage before a slow leak began. I mean that is pretty good. What else do you have that lasts that long! Good Job!

It inspired me to write a review. For a water spigot.
This is hands-down the best water spigot I've used. To the point that I came back to write a detailed review, about a water spigot. I am devoted to this thing. We have a water crock/olla and use our bottled water for cooking as well as washing fruits and vegetables. So our water spigot gets a LOT of use. The last spigot we used had a painfully slow rate of flow, so we replaced it with this.It fit a standard crock and installed easily. The handle turns to open the spigot, rather than the standard plastic ones where you press the lever down. This is good (when filling a pot for pasta I don't have to sit and hold the lever) and bad (if I just want to fill a cup of water it's harder to do it one-handed). Overall I really like the handle, much more than I thought I would. The spigot is sturdy and substantial. The handle turns easily. The flow rate is excellent, and variable based on how much you turn the handle. If you want a slower flow, turn the handle a little bit, if you want a full flow, turn it all the way.I don't want to go back to a plain old plastic lever spigot ever again.
