Turns my wavy hair into voluminous curls!
This diffuser is amazing! I'm still adjusting to the fact that I have wavy/curly hair. My hair was always stick straight, but over the last several years it's become more and more wavy. A new hairstylist gave me a great cut to take advantage of my new texture! I'm playing around with a modified version of the Curly Girl Method, trying different styling products, different application methods (wet hair, damp hair, plopping, etc). When I use the diffuser, it amps up my hair from wavy to curly, even at the roots! Sometimes I get a few wonky curls, so I still need to work with how long to hold my hair in the diffusers bowl before moving to another section. I also think I need to turn the dryer off when I move to a different section and turn it back on when the next section of hair is in the diffuser. The long fingers and the holes in the fingers of the diffuser help dry my roots! No matter what I used to do with my hair, drying my roots was always a problem, but not anymore!! This diffuser does it all!! The bowl holds so much hair, I don't need to move it very often for each side of my head. I did have to buy an adapter to get it to fit on my T3 Featherweight blowdryer, I got the Snozzlepro, it just barely fits on the dryer, I had to really work to get it on there and I'm never taking it off! Lol Once I got the adapter and diffuser securely seated on my blowdryer, everything is firmly attached and doesn't move or anything! I wouldn't pick it up by the diffuser to be on the safe side. I always hold it by the dryer's handle or I wrap my hand around the adapter and hold it that way (it's made of silicone so it's grippy not slippery). The diffuser is on the larger size, so traveling with it won't be easy but like I said, I don't plan on taking it off my dryer, so if I did have to travel with it, I'd lay it flat in between some clothing and probably put socks and little soft items around the diffuser so it doesn't get jostled around too much. I haven't found a good way to store it at home, I just lay it on the dryer's side for now, it takes up more room than when I could just stand my dryer up in a little stand with my brushes, but it doesn't fit with the diffuser so I'm still looking for a way to store it for everyday use. It is a little heavy too, thankfully I don't have to hold it too long, I can dry my hair in less than a half hour using the diffuser and alternating between low speed with high heat and medium speed with low heat. It's definitely a great investment for those with wavy or curly hair. I love the way my hair comes out when I use the diffuser vs air drying. My hair is more on the curly side and very voluminous when using the Xtava Black Orchid diffuser!! I was on the fence about buying it for a long time, I'm glad I did! Easily one of the best purchases I've made this year! Buy one now, your hair will thank you for it!!

Big But Works Well
I have long curly hair and I really like the way this diffuser makes my curls look. It can hold a lot of hair. It is big but works well. I had trouble finding a hair dryer for it work on but I bought the snozzle pro and that works. I also tried it on a Shark Flexstyle wand and it fits perfectly without the snozzle pro.

Universal
Love how this diffuser is universal. It’s great for the price, durable and so easy to use. It also doesn’t heat up and burn you or your hair.

Diffuser great - NOT universal
The diffuser itself is great - doesn't blow curls apart, the vents in the long "fingers" dry curls while keeping definition. I've tried many diffusers over the years and this by far is the best. Yet, it is NOT a universal fit. I have the Conair Infinity Pro, which is specifically listed as one that the Black Orchid fits - but no, with (too small) or without (too big) the insert in place. The ridiculously over priced "snozzle" also didn't work - it may, if the diffuser is set on the dryer permanently, yet I need to remove it for other drying styles. The modification that works - diffuser doesn't pop off (the problem with the original diffuser included with the Conair dryer) and it can be easily removed for different styling:Removed the diffuser insert and used one of these 2" thick bands - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KFNX22Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 over the dryer nozzle to grip the diffuser - and now it fits PERFECTLY! Seems if this or any "universal" diffuser would be constructed with a thick, extended rubber "neck", it would fit almost all dryers and be truly "universal".While frustrating to modify a pricey diffuser, it does work beautifully now.

Unique Diffuser that Works!
EDITED 10/5/17 - I was contacted by xtava after posting my initial review in response to my complaint that the Black Orchid Diffuser is NOT compatible with the xtava Double Shine Hair Dryer (see below). This is a company that stands behind their products and has excellent customer service. Within just a couple of days of posting my review, they already have a replacement hair dryer on it's way to me - their Pro model, which IS compatible with the Black Orchid Diffuser. Yea! Very pleased. The company is also going to see what it can do to stop Amazon pushing this product and the Double Shine Hair Dryer as "Frequently Bought Together."A couple of additional comments regarding the diffuser -Yes, it is HUGE, but for me that is a big plus. I can plop more hair into it, and I feel that in addition to cutting down on drying time, it allows my curls to dry in bigger sections, which results in less obvious "sectioning" of my hair when I'm done. Hard to explain, but I think it helps contribute to more fullness. The air flows out in many places on the diffuser, not just the base. There are several air holes all around the bowl of the diffuser and in the ends of the prongs. I feel like it really gets down to my roots no matter how much hair I have piled into the diffuser. Everyone knows it's easy to over dry the shafts and ends of the hair trying to get the root area dry.The bowl is nice and deep not at all like the typical diffuser with the prongs but flat base. I feel like the diffusers mimics the "scrunching" motion so many of us curly girls do with our hands and fingers, but it's easier on the hair. It is more like a gentle cupping motion rather than a hard scrunching or "mashing" the curls onto the scalp (if that makes sense). The diffuser cups the curls and holds them loosely in the bowl while air circulates everywhere around them. All in all, I am very pleased with this diffuser, which is anything but ordinary!INITIAL REVIEW -I love this thing! But I hate how it is NOT compatible with the Xtava Double Shine hair dryer. I see that the company acknowledges this in the answer to a question here, but it does not explicitly state that in the product description. And, Amazon lumps this diffuser with the Double Shine hair dryer in their "Frequently Bought Together" section that appears. I fell for it, and I bought both. They are definitely NOT compatible, which is very disappointing because I like the dryer and I like the diffuser, but if they don't work together, they're not much good to me.Also, unless I am missing something, it appears that none of the dryers this diffuser is allegedly compatible with (the xtava Pro, Verona or Peony) are available for purchase here on Amazon.
