Good flint Striker
I bought this for my gas welding class. It created sparks every time I needed it. It comes with additional flint tips. This striker is a good product.

Works
Sparker does what a sparker should do - make sparks! It is nice that it comes with extra flints.

Wonderful Torch - Worth every Penny of it
This is an Excellent Product, the ONLY Negative is the Piezo Electric Start…get rid of it, save the customer $20.00. There are other Torches almost identical (Probably all made in China of course)..so, do your shopping, but I am 100% Satisfied with this product, AFTER i bought a Flint Starter..it takes very little Propane to get this started once that “Spark” hit it. My neighbor next door has used it as much as I have, its FUN to use, but be very, VERY Careful, carry some water along in case a fire breaks out!

Used a lot better Flint Strikers than this before
The media could not be loaded. Nothing like the old school ones. I remember that you could strike one of these once and it would light your gas stove. This one does not, it seems to get stuck and doesn't provide enough Spark to ignite the gas. Pretty disappointed because I expected it to work like a dream. Though I'm keeping it because I can probably take her with it and make it worth and it's not worth my time to try to get a refund. At least it came with extra Flint. It was very cheap, and you get extra Flint, but it does not work the way it should.

Needs modification in order to work consistently
The media could not be loaded. As others have stated, you need to bend the arm in order to create the spark against the flint, unless of course you put downward pressure every time you attempt to strike Flint. This really becomes an issue when you have nails, which wouldn't be a reason to dock a couple stars from the rating, except that I can't find a reason for why it would be designed this way. In addition, if you have any kind of substance on your fingers, getting a good hold on the metal arms-while at the same time putting downward pressure-is cumbersome. Having said that, I did demonstrate the lighter working, after editing out the three times it slipped out of my hand. Only a slight recommend here.

Excellent Striker
This is an excellent striker. I've used this type of torch lighter for more than 30 years. The extra flints are almost a must if you use this often. I have one of these that is at least 30 years old and still going. There is not much to wear out except the flint and even that will last for years if you only use a torch occasionally.I have used this type of striker with both MAPP and propane gas.
