Since fuse box on my Toyota Highlander is in the engine compartment I had to hire someone to run the positive through the firewall - works great though

A must have if your vehicle doesn't have 12-volt outlets.
GMC removed the 12-volt power outlets from its pickup trucks for the 2024 model year, so I needed a way to get power to my Nextbase dash cam. I looked at multiple options for hard-wiring my dash cam and just felt safer using what was recommended by the manufacturer, even if it was a bit more expensive than the generics.The installation instructions are excellent, and everything needed is included. I have had this in my truck for 2 years now and it's been flawless.

Makes installion a snap.
This should come with the $300+ Nextbase camera in my opinion. That said, it made the installation much easier. Very high quality and plenty of adapters for many different automotive fuse types.

Finally!
I'm finally able to open up my 12v port and lose the dangling wire! This kit is fairly straight forward. A little knowledge of automotive trim install is a big help. The differently sized fuse blocks that are included is sweet.Only complaint is that USPS was used to ship and promptly lost the item, so it took forever (remember "allow 6-8 weeks for delivery"? Yeah ) to finally arrive.

Works great
Came with micro2 tap, but fuse was no good. Had to first use a 3amp fuse because no one sells 2 amp micro2 fuses. I found you can trim the outer side of a 2amp "mini" fuse prongs and it will fit in micro2 slot.
