RMSRMS Deluxe Sock Aid - Socks Helper with Foam Handles (for Regular Socks)

This product worked exactly as stated and I am so happy that this came out! I was dealing with sciatica pain and was not able to put on my socks without excruciating pain. Until I bought this dream product, now I can so easy and painfree.

If like me you have trouble, for whatever reason, reaching down to one or both of your feet to put on socks without help from another person, which can be embarrassing if not humiliating, this device is for you. My orthopedist recommend I look for one of these and I'm glad he did. It works. I no longer have to ask my wife to help with putting socks on my right foot due to a hip problem. This works flawlessly, an affordable solution to an awkward situation.

I was worried that this would not work, but it does, and quite well. I use it daily now since a hip replacement surgery and am glad to have it. It is constructed as well as it needs to be, but seems a bit pricy for what it is, hence I gave it a 4 of 5 star rating.

I bought this for my Dad because he was struggling to get his socks on. He would normally delay putting socks on for the day because it was so challenging. He called as soon as he tried it and said this was super helpful, and easy to use. I was concerned about the sock staying on while putting the foot in, but he assured me it worked great. He is very thankful for this product! One less struggle for an aging parent!!

This product works as advertised. At first I was worried that my shoe size 7 ankle socks wouldn't fit on the form, that they were too short and narrow but they fit just fine. I followed the directions and it was super simple. Place your sock fully on the form, slip your foot inside the form and pull up. Works perfectly. Wish I'd bought this earlier since it allows me the assistance I need to remain as independent as possible despite my physical limitations.

I've read other reviews, some listing it's shortcomings on strength for compression socks. The listing does say it is not intended for compression socks.Having said that, I have used this device daily, including compression socks, before it completely failed at 9 months. Fantastic for the price, and I put more pressure on the flange than it is intended for. I'll order two this time, so I have a spare when it inevitably fails due to my misuse. 5 star review.

Definitely useful if you are suffering from sciatia and don't wish to bend while recovering. The key is to follow the intructions and pull upward and not at an angle. This way, your socks will definitely reach your ankle. You may still need to make a slight adjustment but its not like putting socks on without this aid. Would buy again. Probably, costs $0.50 to manufacture and they sell it for $10 but this thing has a lot of utility to folks IMO. Strong Buy recommended based on Price/ Utlility being very favorable.
