Then you're going to LOVE this toothpaste! Really. What a distinct flavor. I feel like I'm right in the port-o-potty! Time will tell how well it works, but there aren't a lot of other products with these ingredients, and I know the ingredients do what the company advertises.UPDATE:I've been using this over the other 4 expensive toothpastes I tried 7 or 8 months ago. I've been through quite a few tubes. I had periodontal disease due to mold sickness and I had my teeth scraped and used this toothpaste almost exclusively for 5 or 6 months before going back in for my check-up. I was supposed to go in after 2 months but mold recovery had me moving all over the state for a while. When I finally went in my hygienist called me a posterboy for diligent home care because the periodontal disease was totally gone. I used this toothpaste and a braun oral-b electric toothbrush (the really expensive one) twice (sometimes once) a day during that time and never flossed. There were a lot of factors that went into that turnaround but this toothpaste is freaking legit. And the flavor is something I started experiencing totally differently after a month or two. Now it tastes pretty good. At first it was alarming how weird the taste was but somehow I'm just not getting those flavors from it anymore. Every once in a while I'll get a hint of urinal cake but it's exceedingly rare. I changed my eating from 4 to 5 stars. I've never updated an amazon review before, even when Bayer killed my sweet cat with their stupid collars. But this is some good stuff.

I have used Sensodyne for several years. Despite the long term use, I still had some sensitivity issues. I wanted to find a product for better oral care, not just sensitivity issues. I am so glad I tried this. The PerioTherapy Gum care is outstanding. Dr. Katz's dental expertise combined with his degree in bacteriology really shows in this toothpaste. It has a mild, pleasant taste and really helps to heal the gums and clean teeth. It has CoQ10, Active Oxygen and other natural ingredients that help eliminate bad bacteria and promote good healthy bacteria to fight perio issues. I use this with his PerioTherapy Oral Rinse twice a day. The toothpaste not only cleans better, but I have noticed that it really helps in loosening plaque, keeping your teeth cleaner. The healthy culture also strengthens your gums and relieves sensitivity as well. I really like the fact that it works to heal your whole mouth. After two days, I had no sensitivity (with Sensodyne I really had to brush my affected area longer). I use this toothpaste with Dr. Collins special Perio toothbrush with its very gentle polyester bristles (much softer and more resilient than nylon brushes and gentle on your teeth and gums. This product is excellent if you have perio issues and even if you don't, you can have a healthier mouth. It does not have any sugar or sweetener, so the mild taste may take some adjustment, but it is well worth it. Dr. Katz has a done an excellent job of providing safe, healthy, natural products (not tested on animals, some are Kosher, and safe for diabetics). PerioTherapy really does make a difference. I, too, was alarmed when the dentist announced a few 5 pockets and the need to $800 in deep cleaning followed by 90 day cleanings that cost more than usual. I studied up and found this product line and bought a Water Pik. (I used to think they were just for people who wanted to spend a lot on flossing.) In the 30 days between 'diagnosis' and first deep cleaning I dumped the expensive non-alcoholic mouthwash and name brand toothpaste. Bought a water pik, brushed with TheraBreath PerioTherapy tooth paste and rinsed with the TheraBreath PerioTherapy Mouth Rinse twice a day. Add manual flossing once a day as usual. Also did Thereabreath's 8-day lozenge series of oral probiotics to repopulate the good guys and help fight the bad-guy bacteria that make the bone-dissolving acids. (I am allergic to the oral antibiotics they ordinarily apply liberally, for a handsome price. This product was my answer to it.) When I arrived for my deep cleaning, she had to remeasure the pockets because they were getting smaller! The deep cleaning was not even as rigorous as a good 'old fashioned' cleaning of 20 years ago!I wish I had known a couple years ago about these products, the real explanation of gum bleeding (in the folder with the probiotic lozenges), and the dental revenue model. Feel certain I could have avoided the super-expensive 'deep' cleaning and saved much of the slight bone loss that I have in a couple places.

This is the first time writing a review for a product. I want you to write a review because I just got back from the dentist today and I got an amazing check up from the hygienist. In fact she kept asking me what I was using and what I was doing so she can pass it onto her other patients. I'm 47 years old and 2 years ago I was shocked to hear that I was getting periodontal disease. I'm a very healthy person. fit and I take care of myself. Needless to say this diagnosis was very upsetting to me. I was determined to do everything to reverse my gum disease. after much research I decided to try this toothpaste and I'm so glad that I did because I love it! I've since then used all of Dr. Katz products. To keep this short my routine now consist of flossing twice daily, brushing with a sonicaretoothbrush angling into the gums, cutting out all sugar and white flour products, I also used a gum stimulator which is a little instrument with a rubber tip on the head to stimulate the gums. I also use dr. Katz is mouthwash. I know the routine takes a little bit longer than the normal routine but I have no more periodontal pocket and my gums are healthy and pink. I will continue this regimen for the rest of my life! Remember some things in life just take work, but it is so much better to take care of yourself then have problems later on in life! I have used Dr Katz paste in the past, I am not sold on this product, a trip to my dentist and Hygienist sorted out my breath issues

Don't know if it works as I have not used it enough because it doesn't really sud enough.
