Fantastic Manifold for 1970 Chevy C10 truck, 402/6.6L engine
Installed on my 1970 Chevy C10 truck with an original 402/6.6L engine. Installed an Edelbrock 750 carb at same time. Wow, what a difference! I bought the truck this summer with an Edelbrock 600 carb and Torker2 intake manifold, a mismatch. The RPM Air-Gap manifold greatly increased low and medium-end power and it sounds great! It will help keep the heat down under the hood in the Las Vegas summer as well. No regrets here. Fast shipping from Amazon Prime.Feb 2023 update: I've had the manifold 6 years now, zero issues, looks great, sounds great!

et tu, brute?
i bought mine "open box" and it came in an edelbrock box, but by time it was time to install months later and i did more than peek at it, it struck me that it didn't say edelbrock anywhere on it, it had no markings at all...... so, someone bought a real airgap, and a chineseum clone, then returned the clone in the EB box.its been too long to complain, and i am not going to game the system as i've been gamed, this is a warning, look it over and make sure you get what you bought before its too late, its not the end of the world for me, the clone makes with in a couple numbers the same power as the real thing on a episode of engine masters, and the casting actually looks good, the child that did the cnc work earned his rice, nice crisp smooth machining

Good ole Edelbrock.
What to say. It's an edelbrock air gap. Looks good and ran good. Went from a performer on a mild 396. Had the seat of the pants effect I was looking for.

Not the good ol days
I've purchased dozens of Edelbrock intakes over the years, and was really looking forward to installing this Air Gap intake on my big block. Pros: It does what is advertised, builds great mid range torque, and looks nice. Cons: It pains me to write these things but each of them upset me more than the last. 1) It took forever for it to show up. I know that isn't an Edelbrock issue, but it was ridiculous. 2) the very first thing I saw when I opened tye box... two nicks, or small gouges on the tops of the front plenums. 3) When I turned the manifold over to inspect the ports, and machined faces... whovever deburred the ports must have been late for lunch or something. They looked terrible, with burrs and wavy edges... and the machined surfaces had .035" deep tool, or clamp marks. I had to sand and deburr it all, and run a straight edge. 4) This one really got me angry... the gaskets are in place, I super carefully lower the intake onto the engine, so.as to get perfect sealant squeeze out, I loose install all intake fasteners, but when I get to the last two at the rear, passenger side... I can't start the bolts. A quick look with a flashlight reveals the two holes are each 1/2 hole off, upward and to the rear. Had to pull it out, clean the sealant off of everything, and I tried for half an hour to finesse the intake into position... had to resort to round filing the two holes... and 'that' sucks.

Very happy with the product
I like the quality in Edelbrock's intake manifolds. The cost is much higher but I know I'll be getting what I come to expect. Made in U.S.A which is rare these days. My second purchase of these. The best!
