Proline 117012 Trencher 2.8" All Terrain Tires Mounted for Jato, Nitro, Stampede

I put these on two rustler VXL 2wd, and they did what I wanted, completely transformed them to MT like cars, they now take jumps much better, they handle offroad really well, and best of all the durability is really good, after 5 or 6 long sessions and they still have lots of thread life in them, now I have to say that we had these mounted on stock rustlers no gear changes have been done, and that effects alot of things, the gearbox wear is going to be prominent, and battery cycle is shorter as a result, changing gears to accommodate the larger OD will be best but am not in that bussiness, I wanted to bash the rustler without breaking it every time and these helpedPros:*more ground clearance*more cushion for jumps*more control on dirt and grass*more fun to drive with in generalCons:*battery life sucks(can be fixed with gears)*can make car easier to flip on paces surface*may cause overheating if driven hard on 3s*cost for 4 is ridiculousOverall for the spoiled enthusiast with lots of money to lose these are great.

I've had good and bad luck with Proline. Their tires are usually great, but I've had one or two that were "stretched out" and wouldn't fit my beadlock wheels. Proline's response is that they weren't made for my wheels, but couldn't explain how 3 fit perfectly and only one would not. I've also had some of their SCT wheels bend pretty easily in the center. Yes, they took some hard hits, but I've taken equally hard hits with other wheels and not warped them.I got these wheels to make a "monster Slash," so we'll see how they turn out. On the plus side, when you buy Proline's pre-glued wheels and tires, they do come fairly balanced and well glued. I don't think I've ever had one of their tires separate so that's a definite plus.

I put these on my Redcat Racing Caldera 10e. They fit with no modification and replaced the Traxxas Stampede tires that were on it. Grip is excellent on the street, in the grass, and the dirt. These give an additional 1/4 to 1/2 inch of lift off the ground as they are greater in diameter than the Traxxas Talons. This will put more strain on the drive train and if you don't have a heat sink on your motor, I definitely recommend it. I have ran through three battery pack and am really liking these tires. The stock Caldera tires were bad and the Talons were a great upgrade, but these proline trenchers take it to another level. I also like the black rims although they are plastic. I took a couple of pictures with the trenchers on the back and the Traxxas Talons on the front for comparison.

Traction is incredible with these compared to the stock Traxxas Stampede 4X4 tires. They are great for most offroad conditions. And on pavement they perform well for wheelies and wide high-speed cornering. However, the truck flips much easier with these tires when trying to make tight turns. That aspect is kinda annoying and also the reason these only get 4 starts from me. It is obviously a trade-off, and I would never expect to have tires that performed flawlessly in all environments. But I do wish they didnt make the truck want to roll or flip so easily. I would still buy these again, knowing how they perform. Anyone else considering buying these should plan on adjusting their driving style to accommodate the change.

These are great tires for the Rustler, so far stock drive shafts are holding up to the larger tire. Must be the Extreme heavy duty (6852a) that can handle them because these snapped the regular heavy duties on my Slash 4x4 (6852x). Love these for all around bashing, jumps and landings are so much more controlled and smooth from the added mass. They do all right in dirt but still switch over to a set of BandLands MX28 If I know I won't touch the street that session. (Bandlands are my all time favorite, just wear too fast and grip too much on the street.

The media could not be loaded.  These tires have excellent grip!! I run them with 2wd slash with 3s lipo. The do well on all terrains!They are worth the money! Will buy again when needed. They also balloon at high speeds with 3s lipo over 50mph! I recommend getting rpm body mounts to raise the body a little bit. You will also need to trim the body around the tire walls so tires won’t rub on the body. Here’s a video with them mounted on my Slash!

I was nervous about buying these tires but im glad i did i put them on a traxxas jato 3.3 and it is a challenge to keep the front wheels on the ground in grass and dirt they are excellent but... on pavement at 40 they baloon horribly and keeping control is tough its a let off the throttle or loose control type of issue and a traxxas jato is a speed demon off road i highly recommend them but keep them off the pavement!!

Got four for my 4x4 slash. Put them on my slash. Tested the truck while I still had a hold of it. The truck, now endowed with these heavy bastards, proceeds to jump at my face. Luckily I was able to react in time to chunk the truck across my room. Shortly after changing my pants I take the truck outside to test the truck. They look great and, from the road rash on my arm I can confirm they have some grip.

Bought it for my traxxas slash 4x4 lcg it fit perfectly but I would recommend getting 3s lipo with it

Awesome product! Lightning fast shipping! Tires grip well on all surfaces! Pavement dirt sand and grass! Running on my slash 4x4. 11/54 gearing. Dismantled tires to tape inside so I can run them on 3s lipo.
