Plastic build quality but light output is great...battery life TBD
Lights are typical plastic build quality for the price. The one thing I noticed first thing is you can't remove the battery for manual charging so I put them in direct sunlight first thing in the morning after I opened the box to fully charge before having them run all night long on a partial charge and risk damaging or shortening the life of the battery. Always charge batteries when bought new fully before first use.Light was tested briefly in a dark room and it puts out great light for a tree or sign usage and has high/low settings. Be sure to read the instructions on charging...light has to be on to charge.I was curious about the battery inside so I popped the four screws off and there is a 18650 batery with 2000 mAh inside with soldered wires. It would have been nice to have the option to easily swap batteries without having to solder. Also, with the amount of LED bulbs on this light, why not put a higher mAh 18650 inside? I know companies like Fenix have 2600 up to 3400 mAh batteries that would easily provide much more battery life throughout the night especially on say days the battery didn't fully charge due to clouds/weather conditions.Seems to be a theme for most manufacturers, go with the cheapest battery option that will provide light for perfect conditions based on their hour rating. Dinged one star simply for the battery sizing/replacement issue.

The best
These are bright and stay on overnight. I have bought many brands none I say again none work as well as these.

Do Yourself the Favor and Purchase These!
I purchased my first four pack three years ago and left them outside since then. They continued to work with no issues until this recent summer when the protective coating wore off two of them. I used these for every holiday - the color options make it so easy. As I was expanding my Halloween decorations this year anyway and needed to replace the two that broke, I bought another four pack - and wow! These are even nicer. The solar panel swings in so many directions and the light is easier to adjust. The colors are so bright. I will likely bring these in after Christmas this year so they can last even longer, but three years and only 2 died is still pretty impressive these days. I highly recommend.

Replacement parts?
I love these lights. The only thing I don't like is the end piece that goes into ground breaks somewhat easily. I wish they sold replacement parts because I have the light with broken ends but can't use them :-(.

Battery life falling on latest ones.
I looked back and I've purchased these 5x in the past 3 years. Each time I bought a batch, they were a little different. They had been surprisingly long lasting and great. The latest iteration that came in November of 2024 is again slightly different. The battery on this batch is terrible. It is the one with the "stripe" down the center of the solar paned. They seem to work for a few hours, then run out of juice. Others in the yard that are 3 years old now, and beat up, seem to last much longer. Sad... because I always loved these. Sure they would wear out or break in a couple of years, but surprisingly good performance for what they are. This latest generation just has a disappointing battery life.
