19.5V 4.62A 90W AC Adapter Charger Power Supply Cord for Dell Laptop Computer, Dell PA-10 90-watt Power Supply(Connector: 7.4x5.0mm)

This is the 2nd replacement power cord I have purchased for my neighbor (different suppliers), and I think this one is even better than the original, manufacturer's power cord or the 1st replacement. It is the perfect length and easily winds up with an attached Velcro-type fastener to hold the cord together. The little transformer box does not seem to become hot, like it did on the original and 1st replacement cords. The plug actually snaps into the laptop, and doesn't easily slide back out, like the other replacement power cord had done. Overall, extremely satisfied with this purchase. We felt the price was definitely reasonable. Also, I have since educated my neighbor on the fact that laptops are like cell phones and tablets, in that they are meant to be fully charged, then discharged as fully as possible through use before plugging them back in and recharging them; they are not meant to be left plugged in at all times. Laptops (and tablets and cell phones) are NOT like desktop PCs, which do need to remain plugged in! Hopefully, between providing my neighbor with this knowledge and the seemingly great quality of this current replacement cord, she will not require the purchase of another cord.

I have an older Dell computer and had lost my old charger. Bought this one and like it more than my original one. Arrived on time and works fast. A quality product

I dislike that it did not work for the computer I bought it for, which is a older one. It did not light up. But it did work for another computer which is also a older one, a HP computer. Maybe there's something wrong with the first one.

I have three different Dell laptops, two Lattitude and one Inspiron. I purchased two of these adapters. Neither was recognized by ANY of the three laptops! They would operate the laptop when plugged in but would NOT charge the batteries. I gave a 1-star for this reason although I suspect these are a good product. Returning to an older Dell charger and all three recognized the charger and charged the battery.
