Cathy Mitchell Quick & Easy Dump Cakes

I bought this book as a gift, and it was in a plastic bag so wasn't going to open it, but decided I should. I guess it's quality for the price because it's hard cover, but there is no introduction and not a picture in the book - - -my daughter-in-law saw it advertised and put it on her list but I have a feeling she is going to be disappointed as she has a huge collection of cookbooks and this isn't a fun reading cook book . . . no personal comments, etc..... I am disappointed and think she will be too.

saw this in a local store went back to purchase and it was gone. This has good quick recipies and the kids like to 'dump' everything in and bake it. This is a very simple cookbook not for the advanced baker by any means. But dump cakes are always well received! Might be good for a beginning baker/child baker.

Quick & Easy Dump Cakes sounded interesting & with Cathy Mitchell's well known talents, knew these recipes would be easy to put together AND delicious! How True! These cakes are so versatile, there is a cake for EVERYONE!Amazon never fails to give me great information & service for recipe books in particular ~~

My grandmother loved the book and had borrowed the same book from a friend before I gave this to her for a holiday gift. She said the recipes are pretty easy to follow and the cakes are very good to eat. She is happy, therefore I am happy with this purchase.

Thought this was more than dessert recipes but it's not. Anyway i never knew there were so many dump cake recipes. Some of them aren't really dump cakes. You still have to measure and mix and all that so not really sure what that's all about but I like the book

now this is a good cookbook if you want a great dessert with out a lot of work, I made one recipe for church and it was a hit will be doing others this holiday you won't go wrong with this book

The TV Commercials for this book claimed that you have no more than three ingredients, and you don't even use a mixing bowl. You just dump one ingredient over another right in the baking dish. This is not true. I've used several recipes from the book, and have enjoyed doing them, but there's an extra bowl and ingredients you must use. There may be very few of them in this book that qualify, but over all, if you're looking for a "Dump Cake" recipe book, dump this book!!!

Nice book, a lot of good receipes, printed on cheap paper. Fine for my collections of books, would not purshase as a present for someone, the paper is cheap
