Necco Chocolate Babies - Old Fashioned Candies (2Lb)

This was my favorite candy as a child. I have great memories of my grandmother buying it for me as a special treat. It was so great to see it again here on Amazon! The candy tastes exactly the same, and the unique texture is also the same. It's embarrassing how many I ate on the first day they arrived! So yummy, fast shipping, and a great price for a bit of chocolatey nostalgia.

I read other reviews that said they were melted together when they arrived but decided that probably wouldn't be a problem as it's winter and quite cool, if not cold. I was wrong, very wrong. Many are melted and squished together, two of us tried one. They were absolutely horrible, they have a strong chemical flavor. I'm guessing it's from the bag they are stored in. I'm certain those were the only two that we'll be eating. Disappointing, I was so excited to see these again.

Yummy Chocolate Goodness. Love these little candies. You can eat a few and then a few more and a few more . . . Great flavor, reminds me of going to the movies when I was young.

I was excited to see these. Growing up in the city, me and my sisters. I remember going to the corner store and getting these when the candies was a penny, I think these was two or three for a penny. So I order them to send in memory boxes to my sisters. Mind you the 2lbs was in one big bag... but the worst thing was they were all melted together. Looked like a one big lumpy pce of fudge. Now that was saddening. I don't know how you can fix this, but there has to be something/ someway of fixing this. Since this does come in an 1lb bag, maybe when someone orders two pds. you can just send it in two one pd bag ?? for the two pd price. Break it down even smaller lil bags if it helps w the melting.Mind you, these didn't get sent in the sister memory boxes :(

I was delighted to find these old-fashioned candies for my husband for Christmas. It is almost impossible to get them now. They were quite pricey, but worth it if they are in good shape. This is the first time lots of them came stuck together in a clump as though they had gotten too warm along the way. I broke them apart to salvage the treat. I hope you decide to start making them again, Necco.

These little chocolate babies measure about 1 inch tall and about a quarter inch wide. They are delicious low fat snack although they do contain sugar.

Gotta watch when you order these and what the weather's like. Even with the additional padded packaging AND the ice pack, they still managed to stick together. Didn't totally melt, though...thank goodness.
