I got these mainly to block the cold wind while commuting on my Zero FX. I wanted the type that wrapped around to the bar ends, but decided to try these first. Easy to install and go their job. Don't think they would handle a fall at all though, but I understood that when I ordered them. So, I painted the white inserts black to match the main covers.

These fit my 2024 Kawasaki KLR 650 really well. However, they are flimsy and they are not meant to really offer protection for your break or clutch levers.. I would say that they are just a hair bit better than the stock original ones only because you have some hard plastic going around your front brake reservoir and the banjo nut coming out of the cylinder offers a little bit of protection, but I knew this when I bought them I tried to put Tusk D flex pro adventures on my 2024KLR but I just could not get them to work. You had to bend them and shape them. I just didn’t have the tools necessary to do that. These hand grip protectors went right on without any fuss so they work great for me for my needs. I don’t off-road very much just made them more for wind protection and rain. I like them.

The way these were jammed into the box caused terrible warping, enough that it was a functionality issue. There was a huge difference when mounted, with one digging hard into the left hand lever and the guard twisted upward, while the other cleared the right hand lever by over an inch and had a downward twist in the guard. With the brackets aligned, it looked absolutely ridiculous and left no space for a finger on the left lever. Bracing them straight, heating them with an heat gun, and then cooling them down in the shape they were supposed to be, took 3-4 times longer than the install. They’ll work now, and now look like they should have, but I’m not impressed with the product I received. If I need another set, I’ll try a different brand. If I had to get these again, I’d buy them at a local shop, where I can see if they were packaged poorly.
