Perfect!
No nature walk is complete without my badger!I am a bit concerned that elastic strap (to tighten muff around recorder) will break and I will lose it. Have not used it enough yet but I can see the elastic will deteriorate quite quickly.

Very effective, nicely surprised
I didn't have huge expectations given the cost but was really please at how effective this dead cat is.I did a field test in my reliably windy English garden using a Zoom F1 field recorder with XY stereo mic. I recorded 5 minutes with no wind protection, then 5 minutes with the dead cat. The wind noise of the unprotected mic would have rendered the recording unusable, but the dead cat cut ALL wind noise! It was really impressive. I'll be using this on lakes and rivers making kayaking videos and this is going to be a game changer in capturing professional audio. The other thing I was surprised at was how the clarity of recording seems pretty much unaffected. A very, very slight reduction in the high frequencies above 5Khz, but nothing that couldn't be replaced with a bit of high end boost in post, if at all needed. The 2 pack comes with a standard black 'pop' shield too, which - although on its own will cut wind noise - it is primarily intended for indoor use, reducing eplosives ("P" and "B" sounds in speech). A handy thing to have for interviews, piece to camera, podcasting, singers etc.I use both of them together, wrapping the dead cat over the pop shield and slipping the whole assembly over the mic.Very happy with this, just goes to show that some of the simplest and cheapest kit in your bag is the stuff that can take your recordings to the next level.

Great for the quality
Reduces wind noise significantly. There's no other alternative for cheaper windscreens and DIY is more likely to take too much time. The only con is that the individual hairs can come off so treating it any was other than delicately may end up costing its lifespan. The adjustable tightener is not that strong and will not hold anything upside down but that's a small inconvenience.

Good for windy conditions
I often use a small Panasonic sound recorder in my work and wanted a 'dead cat' windscreen that would fit over the stereo mics. This served the purpose well and does remove a significant amount of wind noise while not muffling the sound significantly. Together with Adobe Audition software, I am able to get the sound quality I seek in most weather conditions.

Good quality for the price but overall fitment could be better
The muff is pretty hard to fit over the foam, you'd have to fit the foam inside the muff before putting it on the recorder

Very effective
I buy a lot of these for professional use and they are as good if not better than some brands like Bubblebee Industries

excellent
it's quite large, but you need the space to avoid wind noise, it works brilliantly, placed the recorder in front of an electric fan blowing at full speed and it stopped the wind noise completely, amazing!
