Great shower addition, if you want to add a hand held shower head to your rain shower.
I purchased this Delta after looking closely at the similar and less expensive models from Grohe, American Standard, and one other. This Delta does not come with the shower head, nor the hand held shower head like most other models do, but I felt it was much higher quality and it is also a bit heavier material used. They all use a bit of plastic used for the chrome escutcheons. I already had the 12" rain shower head from Grohe, so I just needed to add the hand held to the included hose that comes with the Delta. I watched the video posted here, even thought it does not actually show installation, the guy does a pretty good job of explaining what goes where and the sequence was easy to follow. Took me about half hour to install and everything works as advertised. I did drill 4 screw/mollybolt type holes in my shower for mounting with a ceramic drill bit; probably the most concerning part of the install, but I practiced on another piece of tile and it was pretty easy if you go very slow. Wife happy and looks/works great.

Don’t move the shower head
It’s pretty and works generally fine, but if you attempt to move the shower head at all while the water is on the top arm will fly off with the water pressure and you’ll have a water fountain spraying your entire bathroom. The top arm should be secured in some way other than just sitting in the top by the o rings.

Good quality, low price. No shower head, spray head included.
Fairly easy install for a professional. Decent quality, I expected less at this price. This kit makes your shower arm 6” higher then it used to be, so make sure there is space. Also this kit does not include shower head, nor shower flex head. It does come with a flex hose.

Shower arm manufactured incorrectly. Cannot install straight
The shower arm has a hex profile boss that mates into a female hex socket in the main rail. The issue is that one of these 2 parts was made incorrectly and the hex is not aligned properly to install the arm so that it is straight. The hex profile is rotated on either the arm or the main rail.

Retrofit rainshower and handheld shower kit...
The media could not be loaded. Designed to allow you to keep your current in-wall plumbing, this is an ingenious and high-quality Delta shower system. Unlike a new install, this system is designed to work with an already installed shower valve, riser pipe and elbow. I demonstrate the process of installing this system in the video I've included, but here's a short description of that process:1) Remove current shower head and shower arm and replace with threaded brass nipple from kit.2) Place reinforcer plate around new nipple end and mark place where holes must be drilled to add bolts to strengthen structure.3) Place molly bolts through upper reinforcing plate and tighten. Cover with plastic escutcheon.4) Measure to lower attachment point. Mark for holes to be drilled in wall. Drill for lower attachment point.5) Place molly bolts through lower attachment hardware and tighten hardware to wall. Cover with lower plastic escutcheon. Tighten assembly to upper and lower attachment points with set screws6) Place new upper shower arm on new riser and attach with set screw.7) Attach flexible hose to lower threaded attachement point. Now a few caveats that must be borne in mind.First, you must be certain when drilling holes that there are no water supply or electrical lines you could hit in the wall where you are drilling. This is probably not as much of an issue with the upper attachment point as the lower.Second, when drilling holes, be careful not to crack your shower wall, especially if your shower walls are made of ceramic/porcelain tile or stone.Third, when using with an already-installed valve, make certain to match the color and length of this Delta assembly to your existing shower hardware and dimensions. You will really want to buy new shower trim when installing this sytem unless your old hardware is a perfect color match and looks new enough to not clash with your new system.Fourth, this system comes without a rainfally shower head or handheld shower unit. Delta makes matching hardware, but it will add betwen $200 and $500 to the cost of this system, depending upon quality of the shower heads you choose.Overall, this is a fine system, well made and very attractive.

A good shower retrofit.
It is really a good choice for the people who want upgrade their shower like me. The last shower in my bathroom is only have a hand shower. So every time I take a shower need to have it up, you know, it is not convenience and the water will drop around the floor. The puch line which make me make the decision to change the shower is the tube of the hand shower was broken. So I think why not to do a upgrade instead to repair it.Then I seached around the Amazon, and found this DELAT FAUCET shower column it shows that I do not need to change pump inside of the wall, meanwhile, the height of the rain shower can be adjusted by you wish. The shipping services and after-sell service are good as well. If you meet any problem, you can just contact their customer service team to seek the solutions. highly recommend.

very cool DIY shower retrofit
Why use this? You want to convert a single shower head into a rain shower head (comes down over your head vs. at your forehead) and you want a handheld shower head, and you want to USE your existing temp control valve!Brilliant.... this gets its water supply from the existing shower head, and sends it inside the bar, it gets diverted to the rain head or handheld by the diverter valve at the end of the house which you twist. The quality is superb, great finish, glad to see Delta go after the higher end of the market.u must drill through your tile or solid surfaces, so use the right drill bit, to secure the bottom...pick a rain head and handheld that YOU prefer...or select the delta styles sold as a bundle for a perfect finish match. The big savings comes, u dont need to work behind the wall to accomplish this end goal...so most DIY'ers can do it, which will save prob. $200+ in cost of a plumber...then u have a first class looking shower!recommended!

Easy installation
This is a great option if you just want to update your fixtures without a whole bathroom gut job. No need to break existing walls to get at plumbing. It attaches to the shower outlet and has a built in diverter to direct water either to rainshower or handheld.
