Great value CCTV system, and really helpful after sales service
We'd had our previous CCTV system for over 11 years. It'd been moved over that time across four properties.. and it was still working fine up to a few weeks ago. Bought from Maplin, it was a low res analogue system, but suited our needs over the years. That said it went pop, and I started looking online for a replacement. What drew me to this system, was the fact that I could use my existing BNC/12v cabling. It was a doddle to set up. I quickly plugged in all my original cameras, and bingo up and running. I thereafter replaced the old cameras for the new HD ones, and was stunned by the increase in quality and the wide angled nature of the views compared to my previous ones. On my previous system, it was a nightmare setting up router port forwarding to view the CCTV online. Not with the Annke system, it was a total piece of cake. It works great on the Android app, and with regards to viewing on the laptop, it transpired that I could view the cameras on my existing EZVIZ PC software, which was a totally unexpected bonus. So now we can view our external CCTV Annke cameras and our internal IP wireless EZVIZ cameras all in the same place. So I was genuinely delighted by the system, it was working fantastically, and all at a great value price.About 10 days in, it did however develop a problem. The hard drive failed, and it was showing "abnormal" in the settings and it wouldn't record or playback. I contacted Amazon, and their response was to send the entire kit back for a refund. This wasn't acceptable, as I just wanted either the box replacing as a unit or for a new hard drive. Ultimately I requested that they give me contact details for the seller. After common sense correspondence with the seller, they had me carry out various test. I was lucky in that I had an old hard drive lying around, and ws able to swap it out. It worked perfectly for days, but as soon as I put the old one back in, it would fail within minutes. It was conclusive that the hard drive had failed. The seller arranged a replacement hard drive and asked me to be patient. In all honesty I expected it to take weeks for it to arrive, but the reality was that arrived in two days! Great customer service. So now the new 1TB is running perfectly, and we're really happy with it. You couldn't have asked for more. Going down Amazons route of returning the whole kit would've taken an age to take everything down, repackage, and then have to reinstall everything... so we were really happy with the sellers helpful approach.Anyway I'll wrap it up there, hope this review is helpful. Thanks for reading.

Excellent product. Needed a bit of time to set it up but no regret. Lots of features, very good vision, nigh vision and picture quality.

Does What It Says On The Tin
Firstly May i say i was impressed by the quality of the whole system, including the cameras themselves. I did have another system from another manufacturer and may i say between the two there were no comparison. The previous unit i had was absolutely awful and even the quality of picture on a High Definition screen was absolute rubbish. But this unit quality and manufacture cannot be knocked. First of all, The instruction manual is very clear and precise, clearly written in English every word understood. Unlike manuals to other manufactures DVR's badly written, lots of spelling mistakes and not easily readable. In fact the previous unit i had one needed a magnifying glass to read the print. This system The manual is first class i would be very surprised if anyone even a novice had had problems understanding it. The Cameras. Solid build, not plastic, pretty heavy duty and weather proof, although not tested in wintery snow conditions. The only knock back i have, is you will note in the picture that these cameras are mounted to a ceiling position. Mounting in this position you are able to use tilt up and down, left to right etc. However i do not have a Horizontal mounting position. They have had to be mounted onto a vertical wall where by they are facing outwards and have no way of adjusting left and right positions.Setting up on a network seemed to be painless, however i do have a problem there but i think this more down to my set up and will update this review once i have sorted these issues. However I am able to view all cameras on the network.. All in all I would definitely recommend this unit. If my experience is anything to go by I doubt very much you will be disappointed. Well done to the manufacturer of this package.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Easy to install and use
I like this company. As a total newbie to CCTV I bought their DVR with a harddrive and 2 cameras, which my electrician wired in.The mobile and desktop apps were easy to download and eventually easy to use (it always takes ages to set up the first time though) but I had an issue with the timestamp showing the wrong time, even though I set up the correct timezone. I emailed technical support and got the issue resolved after a couple of days of to-ing and fro-ing.As the images are such good quality (even on the night vision setting), I spend far more time than I should watching what's going on at the front of the house :)

Very poor picture quality
Very poor picture quality. You can't see the number plate. Blurry faces. Cheap material. Not value for money. Easy to insand setup. All things in the box what you need.

Different, lower resolution, cameras supplied
The cameras supplied with the kit were Annke C11DP Dome cameras. The image resolution is lower (720p instead of the advertised 920p). I thought initially that they could not be angled - it seemed that their position was fixed with only a view directly ahead but this is not the case - simply that they are very stiff and looked like one sealed unit. On a positive note - the system is very easy to set up, even installing a hard drive etc.Follow up: Thanks to Annke for their swift response and an offer to replace the cameras or provide a proportionate refund - the latter I accepted as I had spent ages tacking down the wires to install the cameras already. Despite the lower resolution the images are pretty good, in fact. For anyone having difficulty with changing the camera angle - if you push hard on the camera "ball" it does move out of the casing. That wasn't obvious initially. It can then be adjusted. I have two unused camera slots on my system so can upgrade and extend with a couple of better quality cameras, later, if I think it's necessary. Overall a good system for the price.
