Super cute and well loved!
My 2-yr-old daughter absolutely loves this remote control puppy! It works even on our wall to wall carpeting with ease and our toddler has absolutely no problems using the remote. She turns the puppy around easily on the skateboard using the remote and backs it up and makes it go forward easily. The puppy also comes off of the skateboard so she can carry it around which she loves to do. She plays with it daily and it's held up very well so far! A great little remote control puppy for a great price! A+ :)

It looked like it had been opened and rewrapped in "saran wrap"
My item itself was very poorly packaged. It looked like it had been opened and rewrapped in "saran wrap". There was no way I was giving this for a gift as I had planned. The item itself may have been fine, but it looked horrible!

Fun Skateboarding Pup
My daughter (age 8) got birthday money from family, and this is what she chose to spend it on. She eagerly waited for Trixie to arrive and couldn't wait to tear open the package! There's really nothing to learn about how to use this-- no real skill except to practice turning. And as far as "tricks," that's just about how you pose the dog. There are no mechanics in the dog; it's just the remote and skateboard that actually move. Trixie is very cute, though, and my daughter and her friend crack up watching her do "wheelies" or accidentally flop forward on her face on the board. She's used this toy on laminate flooring and Berber carpet. She's played with her several times and is getting a lot of enjoyment from it. A winner, and a clever twist on this type of toy.

Adorable Toy
Okay so most of these "rc" type toys are boring and hard to drive around. I actually think this one does pretty well. It's a bit tough for the littler of kids to figure out, but once they do.. oh boy Trixie is all over the house. My kids are currently 6, 5 and almost 2. All of them really adore this toy and think it's a blast to play with. My older two happen to be boys, and they think making her do silly tricks is pretty cool.Everything seems to be of decent quality. The skateboard has two strips of heavy duty velcro that attach to the bottom of Trixie's feet. Some of the hair gets trapped in the velcro, so you may want to watch that if you're worried about the hair becoming loose. It doesn't seem to pull it severely, but we've lost a few small clumps of her hair on the strips. It does take several batteries for the controller and for the skateboard, so be prepared for those as they're not included.Definitely a cute toy, and a must for any FurReal fans.

A delightlful and well recieved toy, that didn't last as it should have
I want to give this 5 stars as it is delightful and my daughter was tickled pink to get it for Christmas. And it DID work well for a few months. However, one of the little rubber strips on one of the wheels has rubbed off and now it doesn't go. The entire toy is useless. We are brainstorming something to stick on there to replace it, but everything we come up with won't stay stuck, or will be too thick and make the skateboard wobbly. This is a great toy though, and it did last for a few months so she got a lot of joy out of it. And maybe her "driving habits" are to blame. I still think the rubber strips, which are integral to the function of the toy, should be made extremely well so that the toy can last 6 months to a year!

Does not work
We must have received a defective one. The remote works and there is a light on the skateboard but it does not move. I have a very disappointed 7 year old. Can not return to Amazon because it has been opened. Have emailed Hasbro. Hopefully they will be more helpful.

Happy that I didn't buy a more expensive one
After I finally talked my 4 year old daughter into removing getting a real dog from her list to Santa, she decided that she wanted a remote control dog. I looked all over, read tons of reviews, and ended up with this one. I figured that even if she didn't like it, at least I didn't spend a lot of money on it. Turns out, she loved it, this was her favorite thing from Santa, and she played with it so much, barely paid attention to anything else. All in all, this was the best $26 I could've spent. The quality of the little dog and its skateboard was a lot higher than what I had expected, and it actually does what it says it should.
