Determined to share the Blood of Vine, Machat created a Syrah and sold the first 500 bottles to Alice Cooper & MCA Records in London, England. Next, he produced a Sangiovese and sold 672 bottles to the Anne Rice Fan Club in New Orleans. He was in business. By 1995, the blood of the vine began to stealthily trickle through New York and small pockets of America, becoming a prized possession. Sales grew to over half a million bottles per year. In 2011, Vampire Lounge & Tasting Room in Beverly Hills opened to proudly showcase Vampire wines. Vampire Vineyards wines feature hand-selected fruit sourced from distinguished estate vineyards from Paso Robles to Napa Valley. Our wines are crafted in an Old World style with top quality grapes. Our wines are made in premier growing regions with breathtaking views and picturesque rolling hills planted with vineyards. Towering mountains give rise to complex soils producing grapes with rich varietal flavors. Marine-cooled terrains allow for a long, cool growing season and for the all-important hang time to produce fruit with inherent balance, complexity and good acidity. Vampire wines celebrate the art of winemaking and creative branding to promote popular culture's fascination with vampires. Visit our Vampire Lounge & Tasting Room in Beverly Hills, CA for a bewitching experience. "I always want the fruit to be out in front of the tannins in order to produce a well-integrated, balanced wine. " -FOUNDER MICHAEL MACHAT

AWFUL WINE AND OVERPRICED FOR THE DEAL
I get it, it's called Vampire so I expect the under-ten taste, but it really has no body or hint of maturity. All three selections (the cab being by far the worst of the lot), tastes like total sugar wines, so fruit-juicy, my wife had to literally spit it out. Good one, honey, you're the one who wanted it for Halloween. The delivery, while in accordance with the window, was at the last day. In a world where one can just go across the street and buy a bottle, I thought the process felt laborious. On the plus side, the labels are very cool. If I offended any vampires, please don't come to NYC and kill me.

Tasty wine, wonderful edition to your Halloween celebration!
I've always loved the Vampire wines. They're more of a novelty than anything, not exactly a premium wine (yet!) - but, honestly, the wine is actually pretty tasty! In past years, I've cleared the stores out, when I saw that they stocked Vampire wine. I was excited to see it on Amazon - since I haven't seen it in any local stores this year. I'm very sad to see that they don't seem to ship to NJ. Hopefully they'll change the policy!

I have had samples and always wanted a bottle but in Ohio its pretty much sessional and I would order it but my state is NOT on the state list. It's very upsetting.
