Duncan Original Design 2-Piece Chefs Mitt, Black

These mitts are outstanding and I've used them constantly for years. The old style, that is. The new style has the rubbery stuff on the inside of the glove, where before the fabric was on the inside. This makes them very difficult to put on, and nearly impossible for someone with larger hands. These are NOT the original design. The original design had fabric on the inside, and rubbery stuff on the outside. I returned the pair that I bought and will now search for a different product.

I love these things so much. Not only are they an awesome color but they fit so much better in a drawer than 'traditional' oven mitts and work amazingly well. I can grab a pan out of a 450 degree oven and hang on to it for a good while before I can even start to feel the tiniest bit of warmth coming through the silicon.I would totally recommend these to everyone who does any baking or oven cooking at all. These are going to be Christmas presents this year.

Don't make my mistake of thinking these are ambidextrous. This mitt is one-sided. If you don't have the black side lined up with your palm and grip something with the red side, it's going to get messy. It will get charred and not look so fancy. Say what you will about these, they work fine but for my money I'd prefer to grab whichever oven mitt is closest and be confident that I can put either hand in it, Not so much with these guys.

Like some of the previous reviewers, I also owned an older model of the original design mitts and was rather hesitant about purchasing a replacement pair after reading the unfavorable reviews. However, I am happy I didn't let them sway me. This product is every bit as good as its predecessor.Yes, the new design is not double-sided; however, it is rather clear which side (textured) should be used for handling hot cookware, even if you purchase it in black. would also respectfully disagree with those who said these gloves don't fit as well as the previous design.

I bought these to replace an older pair that we had for numerous years. Unfortunately, they have changed the design slightly. Our old pair had the fancy FLXaPrene material on the outside and smooth material on the inside. This made it super easy to slide these gloves on and off. The new design has the FLXaPrene material on the inside and out which makes it tricky to get these gloves on and off. So, they work ... but just not as well as the old design.

i love these mitts. they provide complete protection and I don't have to worry when my kids are baking that they will burn their hands like I used to worry when they used pot holders. LOVE THE COLOR too!

After years of burning my hands, I tried these and they are great. I have not washed them yet and don't know how they will emerge from a washing. However, thus far, I am greatly impressed.

I bought these for my mother for part of her Christmas gift. We've really needed new mitts in the household and frankly these are awesome. I am surprised how well they work for how thin they are. They're also flexible enough. I am a fan. When I need my own pair, I'll be certainly looking into another pair for me.

Much better than the oven mites which are joined together.Smaller items can be held in one hand allowing versatility.Great heat protection.

Ich habe diese Handschuhe jetzt seit drei Jahren und bin immer noch zufrieden.Die Hände verbrennt man sich nicht mehr. Ich kann das Backblech oder die Auflaufform ohne Eile zum Tisch tragen und dort noch zum Servieren festhalten. Kein Problem!Wichtig ist allerdings darauf zu achten, dass die Handschuhe richtig herum angezogen werden, d.h. die Stoffseite nach außen. Ich habe letztens nicht aufgepasst und bin mit der Stoffseite an den Grill gekommen. Dass dort der Stoff schmilzt habe ich aber nur am Geruch gemerkt. Heiße Finger gabs nicht. Jetzt ist er auf der einen Seite nicht mehr so schön, funktioniert aber immer noch genauso gut.Ich habe die Handschuhe schon mehrfach verschenkt und alle waren sehr zufrieden.Von mir 5 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ich habe mir die Kochhandschuh geholt, in der Hoffnung dass die, wie es auf dem Etikett heißt hitzeabweisend sind. Gleich nach dem ersten Nutzen sind die geschmolzen von der Außenseite, wo die Handschuhe aus dem Stoff ist und nicht aus dem Silikon. Das sieht nach einem Fake aus, weil die Handschuhe sollten von beiden Seiten mit Silikonstoff versehen werden, daher würde ich abraten bei diesem Anbieter Etwas zu kaufen.

Utilises en rotisserie ,il y a du gras dessus et il faut donc les laver .Il ne tiennent pas longtemps au lavage que je fais pourtant à la main .dommage car ils sont efficaces.......
