Signature K9 1-1/2-Inch Agitation Collar, Burgundy

First of all - this is a very handsome, well made collar. Please know it is definitely meant for Large-Extra Large dogs. I have a 115lb stocky Old English Sheepdog and it is set on the second notch, with 5 notches open.HOWEVER - it does not come as pictured. It comes with the brass loop at the end (far left), then the buckle piece is positioned about 2in from the end, then the leather strap. I'd prefer to have the loop just as shown in the picture (to the far right) to help keep the extra length of the collar. We returned the first collar because of this, and the replacement they sent was exactly the same. I can't seem to get in contact with anyone about this issue.

Which should be apparent by the description but, this is not their largest offering so I [incorrectly] assumed that it would be a good fit for my large dog. Anyway, for anyone considering this collar, it seems to be of very high quality but it easily fit around my dog's torso so, I'd say that it is for dogs with very thick necks more than just large dogs. Pit Bulls, Boxers, Bull Dogs... dogs like that. My dog may weigh as much as a dog that can wear this collar but her neck is long and slender (thus my desire for a wide collar, to prevent injury) and I'd have to do too much work to "fix" this to make it work for her.

I was going to go for a 2in for my German shepherd but I thought it would be too big for him so I bought the 1 1/2 which was a big nice solid well made collar, if you do buy it well be hard at first so it some time to get soft over time put it on your dog just to wear around thouse or outside for it soften and mold around he's neck4 stars only because it came in 4 days late and the packaging came in a just a plastic bag which could get damaged thank god mine wasn't but something to look out forNote not made for small dogs, for big dogs shepherds rottis big labs pit bulls ect ect

I have the braided leather leash by signature k9, and I love it, so I wanted to get my dog the matching collar. This is a heavy duty collar for BIG dogs. I thought this would be fine for my 55 lb husky but it was way too big - not only in width but also in thickness, plus it's really heavy. I will be returning it for the smaller size. However, the item is good quality and well made. Just didn't realize how big it was going to be!

This collar is very well made and all, but I had to pay to have the extra length cut and sewn and then it was just too thick & wide for my dog in that she is a smaller American Pit Bull Terrier and it made her neck disappear, making her look like one big blocky head. The last thing she needs is to look more intimidating. I am buying the 1 layer, 1" collar from Signature K-9. That should be a better fit for my 50lb dog.

I don't see any practical reason for this to be adjustable up to 8 inches in diameter. It's for a German Shepherd not an Arabian Horse. This adds unnecessary weight and you can't just cut the extra material because it'll make it look unappealing. Make it smaller and you'll turn this review into a 5 star because it's very well made using good quality leather

Size Description was way off. The size indicated was 26 x 1 1/2 and the actual size was 30 1/4 x 1 1/2This collar could fit a horse or a very very large dog.I bought it for my 50 lbs choc lab/beagle mix. His old collar was 20 1/2 x 1He needed a replacement so I thought I'd go up just a few inches in length.

This collar is way too heavy for my dog. It's a nice collar I suppose, and I love the corresponding leash. I didn't even put the collar on my dog when I received it and felt the weight.
