Breeze Blast by Sharper Image Personal Air Cooler, Portable, Rechargeable, Use Indoor/Outdoor, Includes- Unit, 3 Blast Pack Ice Packs- Grey

This is a personal air cooler. The idea and concept is something that is simple and works. You freeze the ice packs, select a option of using AAA batteries or a USB charger, and then unscrew the lid and pop the packs in and power on. Boom! Easy as that, cool air coming your way, it has a automatic shut off feature after about 30 mins, i purchased this for my step dad to use in his truck since his AC no longer works. He said it works well and has a cup holder on the dash he sets it in. I am so glad i got him something that brought a little relief from the heat for him!

This little hand held product suck, Don't do it. f you think that you will bee cooled down with this...wrong. It Sucks. It is not adjustable, the breeze is weak. The air does not reach a cooling degree, you will be better off just using a plain old fan. set at high. at least the fan rotate. Buy it if you want to, but this product really sucks. Oh and the lady on the box, the breeze is a fraud. Not that powerful. You have been warned. Dissatisfied Customer.

I was thrilled to receive this in hopes of enjoying the out doors even during the summer heat. I froze the ice packs that came with the device for 48 hours. The battery compartment is difficult to open but once installed the fan does work with minimal noise. The disappointment was in the air temperature coming out of the port. It was not even cool. It felt more like a warm breeze. It did help blow mosquitoes away from my face if I held the device up next to me. I kept the device going for more than 30 minutes and it never cooled down. Very disappointed.

Many of the negative reviews are not wrong. I need to hold this air cooler close to my face within 3-4 inches to feel any cool air from the air jet. It is heavy and it is not easy to hold. It is noisy also. It is pretty loud when the motor is running, especially with a set of new and fresh batteries or a fully charged USB powerbank. It is also pricy. For $40, most people will want something that will meet more of their expectations. So, why the 4-star review?I personally like it. It is not an air conditioner, nor a fan that is blowing out cool mist or water for a few feet. I knew that before my purchase. This is a personal air cooler. It serves me and myself only, so I don’t mind holding it to my chest and my neck where the parts of my body that need to be cool down the most when I am in my room on a 97-degree hot day. When it is filled with the ice pack or a cup of real ice, it does blow very cold air to my neck and my chest. It cools my body temperature and it feels very good in a hot room. It is at least 20 degree drop when using real ice. When my room is 88 degree, it blows out air that is about 67 to 68 degree. I focus on my neck and my chest only because those parts have many pressure points. When those areas are cold, it will deliver coolness to my whole body by using blood circulation. It serves its purpose and that's what I really need it for because I have no other feasible option.This air cooler isn't for everyone. It is for people that are desperate for some level of hot temperature relief when there is no other option. It is like when you are thirsty, you will pay $5 for a cup of soda at amusement parks. When you are hungry, you will pay $10 for a hot dog at the movie. Why? It is because the sofa and hot dog make you feel good and better, and you have no other choice. If you can install an air conditioner unit or put a fan that blows cool mist for a few feet, then you don’t need this personal air cooler.I do wish the unit is a little quieter. I use my Bluetooth earphones for music and radio all the time, so it doesn't bother me much, but when I pause the music, it does sound like an air plane taking off on the runway because the cooler is sitting right next to me.

Thin, lightweight, and easy to use, this little personal AC is perfect for hot flashes! I put it a few inches away from my neck/chest area and can *actually* get some releif from the Florida heat while outside! It's definitely an upgrade from the spray bottle/fan combo that I used to use for theme park and outdoor days.I am young and don't like calling attention to my issues, which include overheating easily, so the aesthetic look seeming like a basic travel mug actually feels dignified and not weird.I do find it more effective with straight-up ice than the ice packs, personally. Also, great for long hours outdoors, since ice is easily available!

The Breeze Blast by Sharper Image Personal Air Cooler was not such a good buy, although in certain cases usable. It's far too expensive for what it does in the way of cooling you off. The gel pack inserts give out very little cool air. It works much better with the bottle half-filled with ice, but you have to be careful then that it does not get knocked over or the ice water will run into the motor on top. I suspect there would be water condensation anyway even with the frozen gel packs as they begin to cool off/warm up. With ice, it cools nicely if the device it is sitting right in front or to the side of you on a table, but the ice only lasts for about two hours before it needs to be replaced again. I haven't tried it without being plugged into the wall socket, but wouldn't feel comfortable with ice water sloshing around inside of it when you are moving/walking. Definitely not worth the price of nearly $40.00. Is only worth about $15.00 at most.

Its a good idea and sounds that way, fact of the matter is this product does very little when it comes to cooling. I had to send this item back because the motor did not work I was sent another to replace the first one and it does very little cooling. The motor is not very strong and what air comes out is not cool at all. I would not recommend this product. I will also be sending the second one back.
