Two ergonomic flaws, but nice horsehair bristles
Great horsehair bristles! Nice. Two 'flaws': One you can fix yourself: There is no tie of any kind in the hole in the handle, so unless you are hanging it on a really skinny nail with almost no head, there is no way to hang it. In the old days, these brushes always came with a little loop of leather - like a piece of a leather boot lace. The other flaw is not as easy to fix: The back end of the handle, the part that rests on the part of your palm where it joins to your wrist: The end of the handle there is squared-off and SHARP! Not rounded off at all. Making this comfortable would have been easy for the factory to do, but they didn't bother. If you have a band sander handy, easy for you to fix. If you don't sand it down (or pay someone to do it), it will cause a rather large discomfort every time you use the brush.

Nicely made USA product
I purchased this brush as a shop tool to cleanup the work bench and tools. The horse hair is firm/stiff enough to keep the brush's shape, but soft enough to move large and fine debris alike. The brush lost some hairs initially, but after a few uses doesn't leave many behind. The wood handle (I think it's hickory or maybe ash), is nicely shaped and fits the handle well. The label states these are made in Texas, USA.As for the dimensions, 8 inches represents the portion of the brush with the hair. Add another 5 inches for the handle, and you have a total length of about 13 inches.

Best counter brush I can find
This is a very good counter brush. It is made in USA, of very good quality materials.I wish it were the kind of fine horse hair and thick lacquer finish I remember on brushes years ago, but I can't find those brushes anymore. This brush is such a good one that I bought two, and gave one as a gift to a good friend who otherwise wouldn't know how to get one. This was my first Harper brand brush, but I doubt it will be my last.

Harper Horse Hair Brush
This brush is just like the ones we got years ago. It is the right length & the bristles are soft enough to brush up the fine dust on bench or floor. Would recommend this brush.

Good Quality Workbench Brush
I've had my Harper Brush/Duster for 6 months now. It is a quality product. No loose hairs, and it is holding its shape well. It's a good workbench brush, and the price is very reasonable.
