Will Always Be One Of My Favorites
Border is one of the first yaoi I read when I started getting into reading yaoi and to this day it still stands as one of my absolute favorites. The thing that sets Border apart is the fact that it doesn't revolve entirely around romance. This is a team that goes on missions, solves crimes and brings the bad guys in. They are all well-trained in their own specialties and they are all connected by their past. Each volume of this manga fleshes out a different member of the team. The first volume tells the story of the main character, Yamato, who you see on the cover. The second volume tells the story of Tamaki and the third volume tells the story of Kippei. The art style is good, but this manga really shines in its neat story line and the way it connects its characters. The way the characters interact with each other reminds me a lot of the main cast of Saiyuki. There is humor, there is abuse, but there is also a sense of camaraderie.I don't find the sexual aspect to be incredibly graphic. Also, keep in mind that the sexual aspect is really barely there. There is a bit of it in the first volume dealing with the main character, but for the next 2 volumes it's focusing on other characters and the sexual aspect is nowhere to be found. This will change soon, but I like how the sex doesn't overtake this manga. It seems like many mangaka just want to throw in a ton of sex with no real rhyme or reason for most of it, but Border only brings it to light when it makes sense to do so.In summary, if you want a yaoi with a good story, a likable set of characters and a good art style, I suggest you check this one out.

Border is excellent!
Yes, Border met my expectations. So much so that I had to re-orderthe first three after missplacing them. This manga series is oneof Kazuma Kadoka's best. I have re-read it and look forward tothe next volume. I will say that the great appeal of it is that Icare so much for each of the characters in the story. It uses sexsparingly and that makes it more powerful than if it was tooexplicit. I give it five stars of excellence!

Great Reading
Very good storyline. This is a really solid manga that focuses on the relationships between the characters and offers balance between solving cases and intimate scenes so it does not come off as trashy. I enjoyed reading about the main character's backstory and the love he lost. Looking forward to reading the remaining volumes.

Didn't draw me in
First, let me say that the guys are great looking, and the handsome main character on the cover prompted me to buy ;D. I love that the main character is openly gay and admits to it. Very refreshing from characters who claim never to be gay at all while kissing guys. I love that he's a uke, I love seeing confident ukes so if you do too, then you will really like it. I enjoyed the friendship between the main character and his friends. However, it still wasn't enough to rope me into the story. I found myself picking up and putting down the book more often than I typically do and it's because while I enjoyed everything above the story itself seemed a bit disjointed and uninteresting. It had a bit of comedy, and action, and sex but the comedy parts threw me off because they sort of spring from nowhere and was the typical 'make funny faces' type comedy which I don't really like, then you have one friend trying to jump the main character's bones often while the main character seems to flirt and tease all his friends. I sort of don't like stories where the main character has a harem of potential lovers among their friends. So that threw me off. While I enjoyed their friendship the side characters seemed more like comic relief than real people so I couldn't get into them. The only section of this story that kept me reading was Mission Four, when we get a glimpse into the main character's past. Great story, more tolerable and diverse side characters, sexy as heck seme, the main character was still hot but more beautiful, no out of place comedy,Plus I have a thing for sexy guys in uniform XD! If the entire story centered on his past I would be hooked!-----------------------------------Reviewed by Rochelle H. Ragnarok of Game Boys: Boys in Love (Yaoi Novel) and Hell City Hills: A Novella
