High quality coat!
Bought this coat for colder weather ranging from 50°-20° for Eastern Washington State fall and winter seasons. My dog is a purebred German Shorthair Pointer, and due to their body shape it can be difficult to find sizes. I did my best using a coat he already has and following directions to measure to decide his size (24"). This coat is high quality and extremely warm. I honestly think he'd be fine with just this coat in 20° weather and will be testing this out tonight. Would recommend!

High Quality Coat
This is a very high quality coat. I bought it for my large dog and it fits perfectly (per measurements on size chart). I love the easy on/off design!

Runs a little big and bulky, but it covers the dog well
Runs a little big and it is pretty bulky, but it covers the dog well. Definitely for colder, not just wet weather

Warm coat (review with some rec's for sizing + skittish dogs)
Quality: Well made for the most part - a few iffy stitches but nothing has unraveled so far. Fabric keeps him warm, dry, and mostly clean. Color is reflective and easy to spot from far away (definitely brighter than the image - my boyfriend thinks the dog looks like he could direct traffic). Velcro is super powerful and sticks to everything, including the trim, so be careful to leave it closed when not in use (definitely not coming undone or anything). It is thick, but not too puffy.Sizing: By my measurement, it is a little shy of the recommended sizing. I would not measure "to the base of the tail" but to the end of where you want it to sit on the dog (i.e. if you want it to actually cover their butt, and use the straps around the hind legs, you should add 2" to your measurement, and same goes for the location of the small collar hole). It is a little broad in the chest for our dog (skinny birddog mutt) and the straps fit a little more than halfway up. I probably should have ordered a size up, because it does move around a bit when he's running (which is most of the time), but that might make the chest a little too big for him. We use a Comfortflex Harness that I can put on top of the jacket pretty easily, which also helps with any sliding.Gordon's review (notes for a skittish dog): At first, he was a little hesitant to let me pull this over his head, but (if anyone else has this issue) we found that it's a little less terrifying to slide it on sideways/upsidedown (so less fabric is going over his head, but his head still goes through the hole). Definitely good if your dog doesn't like his feet touched, since you can get the belly wrap around him without picking up his legs. Velcro is very powerful and so very loud when detaching, so you may need to get your dog used to the noise at first. Leg straps also terrifying to Gordon, so we just leave them off (you could probably cut them off too if they get in your way), though this is in part because they are a little too tight due to sizing issue.

Measure your pup from base of neck to base of tail
Good coat light weight easy to put on and take off. My girl is a lab boxer brindle mix short hair with a broad chest up and down not wide 85lbs. We live near a lot of wooded area got her the yellow so she'll stand out. Got the orange one first my husband kept calling her a pumpkin lol so I got the next one in yellow. She measured 28 1/2 in I was afraid a 30 wouldn't fit ordered a 32 was way too big, going to gift that one and ordered a 30. She is older so I like that it covers her hips in the cold. Coat does not restrict her movement. Haven't really tried it in rain yet.

Great Coat!
Fits well once you get the right size. I measured collar to base of tail on our lab and got 22" I sized up to a 24", that ended up being too short, so sized up again to a 26" which was perfect. The coat has some tapering to come down slightly over the tail so this whole measuring bit to the base of the tail might end up with you ordering the wrong size. Just ensure you are getting free returns then it won't matter so much if you have to order more than one size. This coat stays put, the way the straps go underneath the chest really adds to the fit and also warmth I imagine. Repels water. Is not too bulky. I love the collar, it really doesn't go up too high as you may think, it really just adds to the length. We tried a weatherbeeter without the collar and that one sat really low on the shoulders, so for cold weather purposes this coat is perfect. I think using this coat with a harness might be tricky despite there being a hole for a leash to go through on top of the coat, definitely would not work with a harness where the leash attaches in the front, like an eazy Walker. The orange is super bright, think construction worker vest! I wish it came in more colors. The reflective strip as some have mentioned isn't as effective as it could have been if it were on either side, but still this is a super bright coat and the reflective strip does add to night time visibility. All in all I amvery happy with this coat and our dog doesn't seem to mind it either.

I Was Tired Of Ripped Dog Coats
The media could not be loaded. I’ve owned the Migohi, Hurtta, Petcee, Kurgo, Innoper, and now finally the Weatherbeeta. The Hurtta is the best looking and most refined. But at nearly twice the price, its not nearly as durable as this Weatherbeeta, which still looks great and fits well. My dogs are rough and tumble types. Our environment has low brush that can snag and tear other brands easily. All the other brands try. But none even come close to Weatherbeeta for durability and weather resistance. I recently ordered the Derby Original. I would have bought the 600D or 1200D Weatherbeeta coats if they came in blaze orange. I’m finding that the only durable dog coats are made by companies that make horse coats. Well done Weatherbeeta!!

Outstanding Cold Weather Coat for your dog
Perfect fit, just make sure you read the sizing guides and measure your dog before purchasing. Day Glo orange and reflector bands provide excellent visibility for both dog and dog walker during the day. I don't walk my dog after dark normally, but the reflective banding makes him easy to spot with a flashlight. Great value for the money, this is the second coat of the same model I've had for my dog. The first one was also excellent, but I did not properly measure the fit before buying. I gave that one to my youngest daughter for her new dog.
