Team Redcat TR-MT8E 1/8 Scale 4WD Brushless Waterproof Monster Truck

I've bought a couple remote control cars before. My dog loves to play chase and this is how we let him run around under control. He will chase a remote control car until one of them gives out. Luckily the car's batteries give out before my dog! That is actually the one downside to this car, it draws a lot of power. Other than that, it has been excellent. It has a high top speed and great acceleration. It is also tough. The other cars I've had would have parts break often - an axle, a bolt, shocks, etc. This car has been surprisingly durable; I've had nothing break so far. I usually run it on grass and dirt, even through water puddles. I don't know if it is "waterproof", but it is certainly water resistant. Recommended.

I was so disappointed with this car I have had in for maybe two weeks and run it 4 or 5 times and the air flap snapped and broke off one of the headlights went out the back arm broke and now the center differential stripped the batteries that amazon bundles with don’t work I had to buy a separate attachment it was not what redcat made it look like

So I ordered this truck used and I got a rolling chassis with no engine or esc... I didn't realize used meant rolling chassis. Overall though I was happy with the the chassis and I ordered a new motor and esc because I just don't have the time to wait for this to get resolved/ return it.

Transmitter range is so-so.The vehicle is a blast to drive, climbs like a beast, extremely fast for out-of-the-box and seems to be able to take a fair amount of abuse.But, the battery boxes seem to be an afterthought on Redcat's part. They are TERRIBLE!! The tops do not fit correctly, are held locked by BABY cotter keys, there is a loose wire running through one battery box and no battery plugs or cushions were supplied for different sized batteries. The 'tabs' on the battery box lids are gonna be the first thang to break. They are KNUCKLE SKINNERS!!. Even the holes in the battery box lids for the battery leads to pass thru are questionable. Like I said, the whole battery box set up leaves lots to be desired.But at least the shocks aren't leaking oit like the 3 Redcat Terremotto's I returned because of that reason.This thang does 'back flips' in reverse, will wheelie when running about 20 mph but the transmitter isn't half the range of the Traxxas vehicles I own.It also uses batteries with 'Deans' connectors. Good luck finding those from Hexfly. They come with 'banana' connectors. I find these adapters work well for transitioning the 'Hexfly Banana Connector' to the 'Deans' connector.Andoer-Female-Bullet-Connector-AdapterI just ordered some upgraded battery box "holders" from RedCat Racing. The new covers do away with the battery box covers which are gonna be problematic. But, even the upgraded covers are held in place by pins.

I'm new to racing cars, so this is my first one i bought for Christmas 2016, didn't want to buy a cheap one and regret it later so i went all the way, and i cannot be more excited! so powerful and so fun. I drove it in the snow and it was a blast. The only thing is that the spoiler is so flimsy it cracked on the first flip. I'm going to look if they have a metal version for it. It's water proof, but the manual says you have to close the little 2 holes in each wheel, and remove the cooling fan if driving in water. I didn't remove the fan driving in snow though and it was fine, the support from Redcat told me his car stalled when he drove it in 4 inch water but he left it to dry for 24 hours and it was fine the next day. Battery i bought was the Lipo S2 takes (2) of them and i got the Ace Gen 5000 reasonably priced $29 each on Amazon. Ready to go out of the box didn't need any receive sync as the manual indicates. I wish the manual is more informative, it seems like the people who wrote the manual thought everyone is a pro so we already know about these cars which i know nothing, but the support from redcat were super helpful answering all my questions on the phone with no wait time.

Wow. This truck is a blast to drive, it's build well, and very, very fast. You can wheelie at almost any speed, and from a standing start you cannot give it full throttle or it will just flip. I absolutely love it and would recomend it to anyone. The fun factor is a 10 out of 10, hard to beat. I've rolled, flipped and crashed a dozen times and only the wing mount bracket broke. (Wish Redcat offered an aluminum upgrade, as I could see breaking it often.)

What's the point of ordering such an expensive car, when you receive a defective product. One of The tyre is CUT. There are scratch marks on the suspensions and the internals. Feeling Cheated.
