I saw these on sale when I had the need for multiple webcams for a project. I ordered one to to see how they would work. It arrived quickly, like very quickly and appeared to be of decent quality. Most of my projects involve raspberry pi's running linux or octoprint, so naturally I did my initial testing on a windows laptop just to "save myself some time" because setup can be very exhausting on the pi's. Long story short, i plugged it into the laptop and it worked, just plain worked. No set up, no waiting, just worked.I figured I was ahead of the game so I just plugged into the pi that was active running octoprint after my printer stopped. The whole process I used was: shutdown the pi, plug the usb webcam into the pi and turn the pi back on. The pi booted up and connected to the printer and across the room I could see that the camera was already feeding video to the UI of octoprint. It is a rare event that something is this plug and play with a raspberry pi.Final verdict: I bought three more of these before the sale ended. Highly recommend.

Ok, so I have had the camera for about 3 years now. I bought this camera after purchasing everything I needed to build a content creation station. So when making the decision on peripherals, the budget was growing thinner. So my search led me to this little guy. I gotta say, it has held it's own. I even tried to go with a more "reputable" brand last year in the Logitech C922 and that camera died within the first 4 months. While the picture quality was a slight notch above this one, at the price point of just under $70, it was not at all worth switching. Even had it not broken. This camera came in under $30, at 1080p 60 fps, and a full range of motion (compared to Logitech's limited left/right movement) is quite a deal. It has not failed me yet. The picture quality is a bit more grainy than I would prefer but, for the price, it has been great. So unless you can afford something at a much higher price point, I would definitely recommend giving this little guy a go!

I mainly got this camera cause it was on sale at the time (a deal for a college student) and was advertised to have a privacy cover, which it didn't come with. I've been using it for a few weeks now and decided to review it.Pros:-easy to physically adjust camera angle and camera doesn't drift from angle-very easy to set up-good field of view-even in low light it's pretty clear, which was a surprise-works very well with zoom-arrived a day early-cord is long and feels quite durableCons:-the mic is not the greatest. Even after getting this camera I continued to use my $20 desk mic I got a few years ago.-has a hard time focusing on objects up close. I've tried adjusting lighting with a flashlight to get it to focus but any paper 5 inches and closer to it is always blurry, making it hard to share hand written work.-no way to manually focus it, digitally or physically-privacy cover didn't come with it as advertisedConclusion:I honestly would only reccomend this to someone if it was on sale again and you needed a camera really quick. Other wise, I'd probably just but a slightly more expensive camera with all the qualities this one is missing. Maybe I just need to talk louder but also I'd rather not have to shout at the mic for it to pick up my voice, especially in a time where everyone is at home working on their own things. I don't like having it set up all the time and it's easy to unplug/ set up when I need it so that's one thing I really like. If I need a new camera after this one breaks, honestly, I'd pay a little extra for a diffrent camera.

I have been dealing with the worst web cam ever made for a pretty long time. When my laptop, which has a better camera, died, I needed a way to get that camera functionality back. The crappy webcam I had was really useless, so I started looking for a decent camera at a decent price.I didn't need a $200+ camera, I am just taking online courses and needed something that could allow me to video conference without looking like I had one of the first web cams made.... its that bad.This camera came quickly and well packaged, but I needed to see what it could do when plugged in....The picture quality and wide field of vision was amazing. A VAST improvement over the camera I was dealing with before. Even the built in mic is great at picking up my voice and filtering out a decent amount of background noise.The only other feature I wanted was a privacy shutter because, well, the way things go these days, Big Brother isnt the only one watching....The shutter is easy to attach, easy to use and gets the job done. Seems like it was a bit of an after thought, but it does the trick just fine.All in all, this is a great product for the price. I really cant recommend it enough. the cord is a tad short, but honestly, I think for a laptop or desktop, the length is fine and its seems to be well made. The whole fit and finish of the camera is nice.More than a great bang for a buck.
