Aqua Lung Sport Smart Snorkel

I never really got on with the goggle system no matter how many I tried but these once you get the straps right for you they are brilliant, no fogging up whatsoever breathing was immediately relaxed and easy, the only downside was the ball cock part sometimes this can still and that was a shock but if you hit it with your hand or blow this can be easily rectified, I am super pleased with these.

The mask is great for snorkelling but having put it together I am unable to un clip the breathing tube for storage or transportation.

Very happy with this. Found traditional masks were quite leaky due to facial hair. No such problems with this and any water that does get in is kept away from the eyes and quickly expunged thanks to the valve.

Shockingly bad. Everytime I went under the water and then resurfaced the valve wouldn't release and a couldn't breathe.horrible product!I'm complaining to the company. Dangerous product !!!!!

Have to say that after just a couple of days of using this I really don't think I could go back to a normal snorkel and mask.Initially it does seem a little silly and my 2 year old actually cried when she saw me in it but this is a fantastic piece of kit.Putting it on is a little bit of a chore, you will really have to tinker around with the 3 different face straps to get the perfect fit and will need to submerge your head a couple of times to make sure it is fully sealed.Once it is on though it is definitely worth it. No water coming down the snorkel tube, no misting up due toe the way the mouth/nose section is completely separated from the rest of the visor and the view is a lot less restricted than with standard face masks.It also comes with a net carry bag.There are a couple of niggles which stop it getting the full 5 stars. The first one is that I picked up a medium and would say I have a very standard sized male adult head but I should probably have gone for a size bigger.The other niggle is a bit more annoying. The snorkel part itself clips onto the mask and 'supposedly' can be easily removed so you c an pack it much flatter... Something that is really useful if you're trying to get it in a holiday suitcase. Despite that, try as I might I can't get the thing off. I can see how it should come off but the 'clip' that needs to be pushed in to release it is made of a very strong plastic with little give and it really does feel like if I exert any more pressure i'm going to risk breaking it.

I was supposed to get the Medium size snorkel but fortunately a Large one arrived. It turns out that you need a large size of the distance between your eyes and chin is more than 12.5cm and so large is what I need.I am not a really confident swimmer and won't dive far, but I do like floating around the shallows in the Red Sea and looking at all the fish. I have snorkel and mask sets but have lots of problems with them: The mask always gets misted and I end up leaving off the snorkel and just holding my breath as long as I can.I have not been fortunate to go off anywhere tropical yet, but this mask looks like just what I need. The nose and mouth are separated from the eye part so it should not mist up and without a tube stuck in your mouth, breathing is normal. Everything looks like it is decently made. It all fits in a (supplied) net bag and the snorkel tube is very easy to snap onto the mask.Taking the tube off again is another matter. Maybe there is a knack to it but it took me a really long time to get it off, and I would not be surprised if I do end up coming back from holiday without dismantling it, which is why I can't give this 5 stars, but I am really looking forward to seeing some sealife again.
