Great Boot!
This boot is Awesome! I am a Mens 9.5/10 and the Medium size fits perfectly. Fractured my Fibula at the Ankle yesterday and this boot is way better than what I was given at the ER in the Hospital. The Velcro straps can be tightened down so pumping air is not really even needed but the pump does work and holds air good. Just make sure to tighten the valve all the way down before pumping. The Bars along the sides are strong and once you engage the straps around the boot it is rock solid and keeps your Ankle/Foot immobile. The inner lining is comfortable and conforms nicely to your foot. Just be sure to unwrap the Velcro straps and slide your finger behind the support bars (they attach with Velcro too) on the sides to release the inner soft part of the boot. Then replace the inner soft part back into the hard shell of the boot taking care that it is all the back against the heel of the boot. Good traction on the bottom. I normally don't write reviews be when a product is as exceptional as this boot, I had to write something. This boot was a lifesaver and great that Amazon could overnight it to me.

Kept Me Going vs Being Stuck in Bed
Ankle/Foot Saver. I have a tendon tear in my ankle and every shoe hurt no matter what. I could've gotten a boot from the doctor like this one and paid a couple hundred for it. I decided to look online. Amazon had these for cheap compared to the doctors office. I grabbed one and the size was spot on and it is as comfortable as can be considering. Its a little heavy but that's to be expected. It gives a lot of protection. I've worn it when its been raining and no issues w slipping. I like that it has a pump that you can inflate or deflate the compression inside the boot, which also helps w pain and discomfort. It definitely helped my ankle and gave good support. I kept it incase I ever need it again.

This is the only cam boot that you need for faster recovery
I am an ER nurse and unfortunately I thought I only sprained my left foot then only to find out that I broke it (the 5th metatarsal bone). We do have cam boots in our ER but I thought I didn't need it. I had an X-ray and went straight home. Next thing I know, the pain worsened and I couldn't walk. I bought this off amazon and got delivered the next day. When I say I couldn’t walk, I had this excruciating pain if pit my weight on my left foot. This is very easy and straight forward to use. The best part? It has this inflatable feature that will provide compression to help reduce the swelling. I am so happy I got this. The compression feature helped with my swelling and with my fast recovery. I told my coworkers about this because what we have at work did not have the compression feature. I even told the podiatrist that saw me and she wasn't aware there is such.I waited a month before my review because I want to ensure that this cam boot is durable and can withstand repetitive use. I must say, this helped me with my quick recovery although I still use it for the next four weeks. If you need a cam boot, this is what you are looking for. The sizing is accurate. I am guy and I use size 9.5 shoe and I chose medium. It fits perfectly! Now I can walk with no pain and it kept mobile while recovering. I am so thankful because of this, I was able to attend my leadership training graduation in SFO. It is durable, with a fantastic compression feature that can inflate or deflate depending on how much compression you need. The velcro straps are very strong. The cloth material used is very soft and it has this included foam padding if you feel like you need it before strapping. This is also washable as I washed mine in the laundry. Most importantly, it's easy to put back. This is so worth it. I wish we have this kind at work.

Isolated Calf Muscle Well. Need a tall shoe on other foot to keep me even.
Torn calf muscle. This boot isolated it well and allowed me to be mobile. Minus one star because the boot raises your foot quite a bit. I don't have shoes that high to balance with my other leg. As such, I was walking lop-sided for the week that I used it, and I think it messed up my knee on the leg I was wearing it on. I think this is just user error. Make sure you wear the biggest sole shoe on your other foot to keep you even.

Very well made and comfortable to wear.
High quality construction and comfortable. It immobilizes the foot / ankle very well and the multiple velcro straps and extra padding allow it to be adjusted to a comfortable fitting. I can walk in it for short distances or stand without pain. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Metal rod pokes into your leg as you walk.
I got this to sleep in for plantar fasciitis. I have to get up to the bathroom several times/night so I need to be able to walk on the brace I sleep with.Walking in this is painful. It's got a hard base made of some kind of plastic. It's got metal bars attached to the base sticking straight up on the inside and outside of your leg. The metal sticks up 9 3/4 inches from the bottom of your foot (size medium). The metal rod that's on the inside, wearing on my right foot, pokes at my leg as I walk, and it's position on my leg moves as I walk so it's moving and poking with every step.Last night was the third night I've worn this brace. My leg is being bruised so the pain caused by the metal rod is worsening with each step. And I'm just going to the bathroom and back to bed. I can't imagine trying to walk while wearing this thing for any length of time.I tried bending the metal rod, but can't bend it. I used some pads that come with the brace and they slightly helped but really they just increase the depth of the poking into my leg. I inflated the bladder which just makes the whole thing tighter, that was of no benefit to me and in fact I was afraid I'd wake having damaged my leg from sleeping with it too tightly restricted so I uninflated it.It's not heavy and for laying in bed sleeping it's ok. Obviously it's big and bulky but any hard foot brace will be and so you have to accept that if you're going to use one.The soft inner part looks like it would come out and be washable. Would have been easy for them to make it washable, but no they didn't. It doesn't come all the way out so you can wash it.For walking, I can't imagine how anyone is walking in this without pain from the metal rod poking into their leg.
