Just what I needed to measure thickness of meats when cooking sous vide. It's not very sturdy so make sure to keep it protected when not in use. I burned out a battery because I put something else on top of it. I've been careful since and had this over a year. One drop is probably all it would survive, but it's accurate and the right tool for the job. Cheap enough that replacing is an option.

I use these at my wood lathe to measure the thickness of the walls of hollow form vessels. These are not perfect as you have to watch that you don't let the points cross and get a false reading, but it is easy to get the hang of using them. All I can say is that I have not cut through a side wall of a turning since buying these! They work.

I have no issues with the caliper; it is not the best quality but is appropriate to the price. My problem is with the seller, Anytime Tools. They advertised the calipers WITH A CASE. The "case" turned out to be a standard blister pack. When asked how they would make it right, their response was: sorry, our ad was wrong, if you don't like it, tough, you can return the tool for a refund. I knew that before I complained to them. Basically, they blew me off. I'm keeping the tool, because I need it, but I won't be doing business with Anytime Tool anytime in the future.

I needed a set of digital outside calipers for measuring diameter of wood turnings that I need to know the circumference on for laser engraving. These do the trick. Are they somewhat flimsy...yep...would not want to put them through any stress...fine for measuring and that's about it. As has been said the jaws are metal but flimsy so they would susceptible to bending if not careful however for me they work. I have other mechanical only ones for transferring a diameter or checking a diameter on my lathe I would not use these for that. They are a bit clumsy I think but they do job for short cash...not much more one can say about them, not great but not bad.

the od calipers are good , it reads only two digits in imperial. it is accurate to only two decimal.

I purchased the calipers to measure bowl thickness on the wood lathe. Works as i hoped.Four stars because one arm was slightly bent, and didn't line up. Had to be bent straight, not a problem.

If you’re a wood turner, no explanation required. Works great… Simple one hand operation. Pricy, but compared to everything else you got… priceless.

Worked for about 10 minutes, then it would randomly spit out numbers. Junk
