Great for all ages!
This journal is such a great idea for all ages. Because there is only room of a few lines a day it is easy to take a minute every evening to jot down the most important events of the day. How fun is it to look back at what happened last year on this day? I plan to buy more for my Grandchildren. Great gift for that hard to buy for friend.

A Simple Habit That’s Become a Daily Joy
I’ve tried to keep journals before, but I always fell off track, until this one. It’s simple, approachable, and incredibly easy to keep up with. Just a few lines a day is all it takes, and that’s made all the difference.Whether I jot down a memory, something funny the kids said, or a little moment of gratitude, this journal has become a cherished part of my routine. The quality is excellent, sturdy cover, smooth pages, and it feels like something that will last through all five years and beyond. As long as I can keep my puppy from chewing on it (see attached picture!)The concept is brilliant, and it would make a thoughtful gift for anyone, especially those who want to capture the beauty in everyday life but don’t have time for long journaling sessions. You truly can’t put a price on memories, and for what it costs, this journal is an incredible value. Highly recommend!

Wow! Surprised at the Fun Factor.
In this age of electronic everything, I use apps like ColorNote to keep track of numerous lists, and any kind of journaling I've done in the last 10 years has been mostly electronic. That has its drawbacks due to infrequency of use (remembering where the dang file is) and upgrading laptops over the years. This book, OTOH, sits right on my bedside table, and because it's chunky and beautiful dusty blue, it's hard to miss. Since they only allow 5 lines per entry, I know that I can summarize some thoughts on the day and be done in about a minute. Much better than a free-form format where one is tempted to go on and on and eventually lose interest. I'm not sure this format works well for folks with large handwriting, but since mine is small, and I love abbreviations, I can pack in a good many thoughts in the space allotted.I find that I actually look forward to writing in it each night. Now, I've only had it 4-5 days, so we'll see if it's still fun after the newness wears off, but I really think I'll stick with it. I've always liked journaling and reading diaries/entries from the past, and wish I had done it more after college. Thanks to this neat book, I think I'll have 5 years full of neat notes and memories when I'm ready to buy the next one. :)

Memory booklet.
A family friend told me to buy this a year ago now. After a full year I’m telling you it’s worth it! He’s had it for years and relied on it heavily as of late. He recently visited us again (he is my brother in laws childhood best friend and my brother in law lives with us) after a 1.5 years apart and not keeping up much. He let us know he was diagnosed with a brain tumor a few months after our last visit, and the removal left some of his memories scattered or completely gone. He’s relied on his few lines he wrote to learn about his own life and his friends and memories he’s forgotten. I thought he was joking at first because wow that just doesn’t really happen in real life. but he showed me the scar and the pictures from the coma that followed. I realized how precious our life is and how important memories are to keep, and bought one instantly after that. I’ve used my one line a day now for a full year and can read the above passage from the same day a year ago. I love the short lines and how i can just write for 2 minutes at most and have a memory saved. I highly recommend this way of journaling your life. You never know what is in your future and this is a beautiful way to preserve your past. 10/10

Five years down, another 5 ahead...
A normal journal overwhelms me. All that empty space! I need something finite. This journal fits the bill. This is my second One Line A Day Five Year Memory Book. I started the first one the day I got it...no reason to wait til Jan 1--that's the beauty of it! I just finished five years and purchased a second one. I really do like the journal because I HATE journaling and this is totally manageable. I write small and don't actually do "one line;" I just write about my day. This is a great journal for anyone who either hates journaling but wants to do it to have something to look back on, or someone who enjoys ruminating over their day and choosing one thing to highlight, or for anyone who just wants to keep a brief ongoing journal.... There is an "If found..." page at the front, and three "Dates to Remember" pages at the back. An attached ribbon makes it easy to keep your place. The best thing about keeping a journal like this is you can easily look back on what you did on a particular day up to 5 years ago, and you can compare each year. Kind of cool. It's kind of interesting to note coincidences over the years, like I happened to be sick at the same time a few years in a row--weird. And my kids saw a particular movie one year, and three years later saw the sequel, to the day, with the same friends, even though they had moved away!!Ok, so it's just a journal. But it's nice and small and fits nicely in your night stand--or in your suitcase when you travel. Why did I take a star away? Because the manufacturer affixes a big sticker label directly on the back of the book, which does not peel off without a fight, and leaves all kinds of crud all over the book. Who wants a book with a giant sticker on it?? And who wants a book with sticky crud all over the back? Well, now I'm stuck with the cruddy back. But it's better than a sticker. My first one did not have this problem. I suspect it may have come with a cardboard label around it instead, or wrapped in plastic. I don't remember. But it is crud-less.And as for any concerns about how it holds up for 5 years...it is fine. All you are doing is opening it, writing in it for a few seconds, closing it and putting it away. I don't see how it could fall apart from that. I'm sure someone could destroy it, but mine held up great. It's a good little book. Nice to have, and even though I hate journaling, I've missed the routine of mulling over my day and writing about it right before bed. Now I'm all set for another 5 years!EDIT: I was able to scrape off the sticker (it was a MESS) with my fingernail, as you can see in the photos, and then use a goo-gone type spray on a paper towel to wipe the sticky guck off. It's fine now. I learned afterwards that if you use a straight edge razor (the kind you scrape paint off windows with) very gently and slowly around the edges of a label, you can work around it and eventually get it off pretty cleanly, then clean the residue with the stuff I used. I'll try that next time I have a massive sticker slapped across the cover of a book. (What were they thinking???)

Great for quick everyday journaling
I bought this in 2022. Sometimes I fall outta habit but mostly I write everyday. I think it gives the perfect amount of space to write. I like seeing how fair I’ve come & how ridiculous I used to be. I’ve already bought my next one
