FLAT cord NOT round
Nothing to dislike! Being βflatβ instead of round is a plus. Heavy duty cord, used only for about 6 hours with my 7500 watt gen. Price was Excellent also

Very nice cord
This S7 brand 25 Feet Heavy Duty Generator Adaptor Extension Cord,Locking Cord,NEMA L14-30P/Four 5-20R worked and performed well hooked up to portable generator that has the L14-30R outlet, P stands for Plug, R stands for Receptacle makes sense.I used my portable generator because Power Company was doing maintenance in my area and power was off for 8 plus hours.Like how there is 2 red dots and 2 green dots on the 5-20R end. To balance any two higher amp draw appliances. I only plugged up my one refrigerator, but if i had plugged up my separate freezer one would be plugged in the red dot and the other i would have plugged to a green dot receptacle on this extension cord.I planned on defrosting the stand alone freezer is why i didn't plug it up while house power was off.Any small amp draw appliance can plug up any combination of red or green dot.Good heavy duty extension cord.

Impressive cord.
It's one of those things you buy and hope you will never need. Judging by the heavy and meticulous construction, it should do the job.

Should work well during hurricane seasons
Bought this to go with a recently purchased portable generator for use during Florida hurricane seasons. The cord is flat so it will easily fit under my garage door and it has multiple receptacles so there is only the one cord that I have to run from the generator into the house. We can branch out from there as needed. This is truly a heavy duty cord and although I have not had the opportunity to use it yet, I think it will more than suffice for my needs.

Voltage Explained
If your generator is putting out 240v from the NEMA L14-30R receptical (which I presume most generators do) this cable uses one phase to feed two of the 120v outlets on one side and the other phase to feed the two adjacent outlets giving you four 120v outlets (I don't think this was plainly stated). As others mentioned, probably best to balance your load. The cord and plugs seem pretty heavy duty & well built, not noticed until I received it but the cable is flat, this may come in handy if running under a garage door etc. Says there is an indicator light in the female end of the cord, either mine doesn't have one or it doesn't work but not a deal breaker. I have a Westinghouse 5300 series geneartor and the 120v/240v selector switch has to be set to 240v in order for this receptical to become functional, also not plainly stated in the manual! So far seems like a decent cable for the money, need to test it out on the next power outage.

Quality!
If you don't have your generator hardwired to your breaker panel then this is exactly what you need if your generator has 120V AND 30 and 50 amp locking plug-in connections. This gives you the option for using one plug for expanding with say something like a Belkin 12 outlet surge protector to run some electronics like computer routers, TV, satellite, etc.

I Hope I Never Have To Use It π¬
It seems flexible enough to not have 'memory'. I like that it has four outlets on the end for connecting other extension cords. Like I said in the headline, I hope I never have to use it. Hurricane Sandy left me with 12 days without power. I've had two or three 2 day and 4-5 day outages since then. Even with a generator it's not fun. π€
