Ergonomics count for function

I am now seating on a thatsit chair and it is very interesting to read and know Mr. Opsvik's research about the human posture and the solutions he has found to improve the way we work, raed...eat. We could spend the most of our life seating on a bad chair!

I bought this book for my boss as a thank you gift and he loved it. He's a furniture designer and he really appreciated the book as a reference. The photos are great and overall this is a great book on the concept and reality of sitting.

I learned a lot

A good review of the all the wrong ways we sit and what to do about it. Very good for anyone who is serious about designing chairs!

If you're a fan of Opsvik, Varier or Hag then this is an essential insight into the thinking and development of the ideas. It's a lovely coffee book, intrigues the casual reader, but offers the aficionado the detail they're after.Read alongside Galenz's The Chair.

Herr Peter Opsvik ist der Pionier auf dem Gebiet des ergonomischen Sitzens. Stühle, die viele Menschen kennen sind aus der Hand des begabten Designers und nachhaltig denkenden Menschen. Aber nicht nur seine Möbel werden gezeigt, sondern auch tiefe Einblicke in die Welt der Ergonomie betreffend sitzende Arbeitsplätze werden in dem Buch gegeben. Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht und im Wissen um anthropologisch richtiges Sitzen bereichert worden.
