I purchased this pineapple corer to replace a plastic one I had been using for years; unfortunately, that plastic one broke a few months ago. I received this product not long after, and have used it a few times since. Here are a few things I like/dislike about it:Pros:- Very sturdy and solid build. Unlike other metal corers, this one is extremely solid when using it; there is no flexing or feeling that it will fall apart. (Major Plus)- Easy on the hand when using. I do not get cramps when trying to use it; it cuts through the pineapple easily. (Big Plus)- Easy to remove the handle from the stem; with my previous corer, this task was extremely difficult.Con:- Like many other people have found, the weld points do tend to rust when washed in the dishwasher; I have found it best to hand wash the unit in hot water, with a bottle brush to clean the inside of the corer shaft, and then towel dry ASAP afterwards.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend this pineapple corer to anyone who likes fresh pineapple over the canned variety.

Was very impressed with this gadget. Use to cut the pineapple with a knife,losing the juice and wasted more than you realize of the fruit so I decided to buy this just to see if it really worked. Cut the top off enough to see the fruit and place the corer in the middle and keep turning it until you reach the bottom. Pull it straight out and the pineapple is spiral. Place in bowl and cut however you like and pour the juice in the bowl. Easy clean up. Would make a great adult drink using the shell of the pineapple as a cup. Will be trying that next! We love pineapple but hated cutting it up. With this there is no mess at all except for the corer. So glad I ordered this. We eat 2 pineapples a week now.

I usually did not buy pineapple even though it is a healthy food and I love it. Pineapple is a great alternative to candy or other sweets and provides an amazing amount of nutrients and health benefits. But the task of cutting the pineapple just right has always deterred me from buying it often. Canned pineapple is not anywhere near as good or healthy. This device makes it easy to core the pineapple in less than one minute with no left over eyes. It spiral cuts the pineapple into a ringed spiral that lifts out of the shell. However, while I would buy it again and have gifted one already, I find the core does not stay in the pineapple as advertised. The core stays in the middle of the metal corer and you must be very careful getting it out. The corer has a sharp end so, you must find a kitchen tool to punch the core out from the corer. Warning: This is not a good tool for children to use without adult supervision. It does make coring a pineapple much easier and maximizes the fruit you get out of the pineapple. If you like pineapple but do not like to slice away the skin just right and cut around the core, this tool will make your pineapple experience a lot easier. The tool is made of quality materials and is a great value for the price.

It used to be a struggle with a knife to cut a fresh pineapple and took forever to get the hard rind off all the the pieces. This tool takes a minute to twist and out comes a clean cut spiral of fruit. You can use the round pieces or easily cut them into smaller pieces. I did notice some of the other offers show a corer AND a slicer tool. The sturdy corer uses all the fruit with no waste and easily washes up with a quick rinse.

Too often, I would buy a pineapple and end up throwing it away because I dreaded the hassle and mess of cutting it. No more - in less than a minute my pineapple was peeled, cored, and sliced with little mess. And clean up was fast and easy!

I was impressed by how quickly I was able to slice and peel a pineapple the first time I used this cutter. It turns easily while lightly pressing down. I wish I had bought it sooner.

I have a plastic spiral pineapple cutter that I have been using for quite some time, but I was noticing that using it has became more difficult to turn the slicer handle clockwise through the pineapple.After receiving this stainless steel spiral cutter, I immediately bought a pineapple to test it on.First thing I noticed was that the clutter handle was very comfortable and contoured to fit my hand very comfortably. Because this cutter was made of stainless steel, my initial turn into the pineapple was very easy and almost no effort was needed. As I continued through the pineapple, I noticed that I didn't have to apply a downward pressure on the handle to keep the cutter engaged with the uncut flesh...I just turned the handle and let the cutter do all the work...The pineapple slices came out just a tad bit thicker than the slices using the plastic cutter, but that was not an issue or problem for me.This stainless steel cutter was almost like running a hot knife blade through hard refrigerated butter. I was very pleased, I also threw away my plastic cutter almost directly after slicing up the pineapple using the new cutter, mostly because I had to gather all the pieces to toss them.Cleaning this cutter was way easier than cleaning the plastic cutter. Removing the pineapple core from the cutter shaft was totally way easier to remove from this cutter shaft compared to what I had to do after using the plastic cutter.My wife loves to eat the pineapple core, and in order to remove it from the plastic cutter, I had to push my first finger really hard on the core end at the handle, sometimes I had to find something that would fit in the shaft but not bore into the core in order to push the core out the other end.With this cutter, all I had to do was use my first finger (only this time without pushing my finger hard) to move the core down to the other end of the cutter shaft until it protruded out the other end. Then I pulled the core right out of the cutter shaft with little to no pulling effort. The core came out without breaking and the texture of the core outside was very smooth unlike the rough texture I encountered while using the plastic cutter.Way impressed, with the steel cutter was way easier to clean up rather than the plastic cutter. All I did after removing the pineapple core, was run it under the water faucet to rinse out the leftover pineapple residue.Simple...horray, I can now buy more pineapples and enjoy the slices more since the effort I exerted while using the plastic cutter all but vanished when I used the steel cutter...what a relief...I found that the steel cutter assembly was very sturdy and virtually had no play when I made the initial cut into the pineapple.I really recommend this stainless steel pineapple spiral slicer to anyone...in my mind it deserves a total of 12 Stars and more thumbs up than I could give using my 2 hands...

Cutting a pineapple has always been messy and imperfect. But with this tool you want to eat pineapples every day. It is very easy to use and clean.

No trae marca, casi el 100% del producto no estaba soldado, terrible la calidad de los dientes para cortar, sin caja, me lo entregaron vilmente en una bolsa sin protector y miserablemente cerrada con una mini tira de cinta adhesiva... sin duda yo hubiera fabricado uno mejor. Lástima que no se puede poner 0 estrellas.
