Yes, it's made of 100% virgina polypropylene, which is consider to be a food-safe plastic and does not contain BPA.

Q: Is this the new and improved version with non-slip feet?

No, it is the simple version. No feet on it but it works well.

Q: Does it flex and bow when chopping? Others have seen that problem, and say it's worthless for chopping, but does scoop. Light weight or sturdy?

It's fairly thick and sturdy for its size. I have chopped small stuff on here with no problem. If you are chopping a bunch of huge things, you likely wouldn't want to use it for the chopping itself but for a single onion, bell pepper, etc, it's fine. And it is great at scooping up everything.

Q: I bought small cutting board to be used as small plate, is it microwave safe?

I don't use it as a plate, just as a cutting board. I have no idea if it is micro-wave safe.
