We use this stuff at the shop regularly and it’s cheaper to buy here than from my distributors. Designline has a stretchy thread that you can rip by hand, designed for curves and tight shapes, Finishline has a non-stretch thread that doesn’t rip by hand and is best suited for straight lines and moderate curves.Each have their caveats, Designline’s string can rip as you are cutting and Finishline’s string can slip out if you make too tight of a turn and put too much tension on the tape while applying it. Designline also can end up more wobbly for straight lines in contrast to Finishline. We primarily use Designline for everything now. Learn how to use it, getting the first cut started is always tricky for beginners.
