Our dog chewed up the original remote that came with our TV. The instructions state the remote should automatically pair when you first turn on the TV. It did, however, you need to pair the remote anyways. I couldn't get it to connect to our Samsung soundbar and the original remote had no issues connecting to it in the setup. I was chatting with Samsung support and almost got to the point of resetting the TV. The passcode box came up but I couldn't enter any numbers. The rep had me pair the remote even though it was working with everything else and that's what did the trick. So if you get this remote and it's not fully functioning, be sure to perform the pairing process.

So far so good! In the picture I have my original remote on the left and this replacement on the right. I just put batteries in the replacement and it immediately works! Every button seems to work perfectly with the exception of the voice control (but that suits me just fine. I used to wish I could disable that button anyway!)

Voice control doesn't work for anything, false advertising

I was having problem with the module on my TV which Samsung had to replace and this was the only remote that worked. worth the money
